Default Battery power leads under the car

Hi fellow ZT260 owners, I've just noticed a small chunk of red power cable has been taken out of my positive lead under the car! Going to try and fix it with some silicone sealant.

Query is this, if I'm going to disconnect the battery in the boot do I need to follow any special routine or risk damaging any on board computers / alarm?

    Cheers!

If you have SatNav system then it's worth waiting for the SatNav drive to stop before disconnecting the battery. The drive activates as soon as any door/tailgate/boot is opened. If you disconnect power before the drive has stopped initialising then you run the risk of corrupting the eprom memory.

Open the boot, wait for 10 minutes, disconnect the battery.

Oh and don't forget to return your questionnaire to Tim to get full access.
