Default Roush supercharger boost relief valve

Hi,Some help needed off someone who owns a Roush car please,I am in the process of fitted a Roush supercharger, but it was not a complete kit,I have managed to make most of the missing pieces by looking at the manual. One thing I cant work out because its not clear in the manual is where do the two ports connect to from the vacuum operated boost relief chamber ,the manual says both to the vacuum harness,I have not got the vacuum harness so it makes no sense to connect both to the same vaccum source,Could someone please trace the path of these two pipes on a car please and let me know. Many Thanks Karl

Hi Karl, you're in a select bunch there are only a handful of Roush charged cars. Both Nigel and I together with a few others on here have similar cars.

Another member (and former owner) on here Linden Cahill might be a good point of contact as he has done a lot of work on his this type of engine. Nigel has also arranged for his engine to be fitted and will have good info for you.

As Colin says you would be advised to become a full member here as there's a lot of V8 specific info which will be a huge help in keeping these cars on the road.

    Hi Karl

I've taken a couple of photo's of my set-up which may help.

On this one you can see the two vac pipes connected to the relief valve actuator.

This one shows where the two are connected. The black one is in the corrugated sleeve and connects to the induction pipe. The red one connects to the vacuum manifold next to the throttle position sensor.

Here's an image of the general layout, which may help.

If you have a Roush ECU it will need a T4 session for your car. There is also a wire swap you need to do on the ECU for the radiator fan otherwise it will run continuously. From memory the Roush ECU is only good for 360Hp. I run mine for the first 2000 miles on one borrowed from Linden but a custom map on the standard ECU makes all the difference.

What injectors are you using? If they are the standard 260 ones then they will be no where near big enough. IIRC the standard Roush ones are 39lb/Hr but Jamsport recommended that I upgraded mine to 42lb/Hr.

    Good luck with the upgrade.
