I must admit I did think that the final selling price was at least £1k below what I expected it to fetch based on the description.

As for service history,just because the book isn't stamped doesn't mean it hasn't been serviced properly,best to just look around the car and use your own judgement.

In fact I bought a car about 15 years ago with a full main dealer(Rover) service history,which had just had a full service by them,and when I checked it over the plugs were rusty and the air filter was black.I think the only thing they'd actually done was an oil and filter change,yet there was a stamp in the book and an invoice to say a full service been done including new plugs and air filter.

yeah good point. Sometimes careful maintainance by a dedicated owner is actually better as you know things have actually been done. With mine, I have put entries hand written in the service book and have kept the reciepts for all the parts bought and fitted.

Yes I agree, another £1k on selling price wouldnt seem too far of expectations for a slightly risky ebay purchase. Prices are usually a little lower via ebay bidding
