I have just done an oil change to my Rover V8 Ford engine.
The manual states 5.21 liters. I threw 5 liters in, and a new oil filter, and it does not even register on the lower mark on the dip-stick.!
I will go and check add, until it does.
However in the booklet for the V6, it also says 5.2 liters, and I wonder if they might not have made a mistake and not corrected for the V8.
    I will let you know.

V8 takes approx. 5.8 liters with oil filter change

I have filled 6.4 liter, and checked again carefully.

To make sure, I have now lifted the one side of the car with a jack, and used a spirit level to make sure the car is level.
This has raised the level a bit, and would indicate that the level is about a quarter of a liter too much.
I will not bother with that, but the best figures I can come up with is thus:

6.2 liter with oil filter change.
    5.7 liter without.

(assuming the filter holds 0.5 liter)

Sounds about right, not sure whether my car was totally level.

I just buy 6 liters nowadays and put it all in.

Filter I believe is slightly less than 0.5 liters but all within the margin I'd say
