Default Newish Owner lookin for parts

Hi all, just joined but had the car since March(2012) and love it.

Anyway its failed the MOT on a few small bits, but biggest thing was the lower ball joint on the suspension arm ? dont have fail sheet on me at the moment.

Spoke to a kind bloke at Roverbreakers.com and he said (but couldn`t guarantee) "that a rover75 arm would fit but you need too drill a hole in it for an anti roll bar bush", Is this ok ??

Also where do you get rear discs from, cant get them anywhere ?

Last question but most important, where can i get a louder set of tail pipes, ive read on here about Xpower tail pipes but ebay etc brings up no results.

Anyway thanks for reading, and the zt should be back on the road soonish.

    cheers

    Hi and welcome

Adding your location on your profile always helps us to help you in instances like this. Where in the world are you??

For parts I would try Brian (Scooter on here) at Dreadnought, rear discs can usually be bought via the club shop. The advice given to you from memory kind of sounds right, but I would get confirmation from someone like Brian or VMaz1000 on here first

XPowers, you've got to love them, the proper MG option for a better sound, but they do crop up from time to time here. Another option is Zero's but they are aftermarket but that doesn't bother most

    I hope this helps

With regards to the suspension, here you go, but you have to be green to see the thread. Also attched some pics.

    https://www.two-sixties.co.uk/mgoc26...hlight=drilled

having been in need of a new lower supension arm, they are becomming scarse and are, at list price, expensive at over £300.

they are exactly the same as standard R75/ZT items except for the drilled and flatted/recessed hole for the drop links from the roll bar.

Ive found a local machine shop who are replicating this for me from the ols original one onto the new one.

Once you are green Sandy you'll see the links to the rear discs etc. Welcome along

    Thanks for all the replys.

How do you go GREEN ? Posts i guess.

Car has passed, and running sweet, changed oil , plugs , filters, still to change gear box & diff oil.

I had ordered rear pads off Ebay and the picture showed the right ones ( two holes for the retaining pins) also description quoted MG ZT 4.6 but got wrong pads, bloody annoying.

Anyway cant wait for the snow to come

BTW how do they handle in the snow.

To go green you need to return the questionnaire to Tim.

There are a couple of owners round about you, Les4048 the other side of Elgin, I'm around Aberdeen and someone (sorry blanked on the name, Ian?) in John O' Groats. A couple of years ago I saw a firefrost (?) 260 in Inverness, but I don't think they are on here.

Any specialist advice see Brian (Scooter on here) at Dreadnought garage in Callander (who can fix you up with a supercharger if you're of a mind!)

Snow - fit winter tyres and they're fine.

    Enjoy the ride.
