    It was just over £300 fitted including the belt.

    Ouch................Altenator at RealSteel £130. Belt another £25 or so. £155 in parts.

    With £40 / hour it would have taken 3 hours to fit........

    Then again.................needs probably must............

    So not too bad then, especially when you take into account it was local (ish) and it was unlikely he could have driven the car anywhere else to get it done!

    Still expensive given that it should take about 30mins to replace altenator and belt local or not

    Even on a blown car we charge 30 mins, we keep a 260 and SV one in stock.
