    The search is over............

After an early start and a trip around the M25 we pulled up at the address where we had arranged to meet, following quite a few emails, we were met by a proud owner still polishing the front of a very smart looking ZT.

It was perfectly what I had been looking for, black, low miles, SE with all the extras.

Having arranged the RAC inspection for earlier this week there was only a couple of minor items mentioned so I was happy that the car was sound mechanically and it was just down to what I thought of it.

The car looked amazing and once the insurance and driving licence had been shown we headed out for a test drive, the 260 burbled into life and after a careful drive heading out of town onto some duel carriage way we drove past a police speed trap so keeping the speedo exactly on the 50mph we headed back, I was already sold so once we were back we sorted the paperwork and I was on my way home with the 260, an hour and a half later I was still smiling.

I am now the proud owner of 798

And I remain the slightly depressed former owner. Damn, it sounded good heading off down the road

Still, if there's a consolation, my neighbours have all been bringing me gifts and throwing away their ear defenders, now that "that noisy bloody car" has stopped waking them up at 5:30 some mornings.
