    Default 2004 facelift headlight covers?

    Hi,

Yesterday I back the proud owner of a mk2 (facelift) 2004 260 SE.

Only issue is the headlights are slightly foggy. Can anyone advise me if the covers are detachable from the main unit and if so any ideas where these could be obtained from.

    Thanks,
    Alex

you can buy a polishing kit on Ebay for headlights that fits in a drill and does a pretty good job and about £20 i even used it on one of my bikes.

Try this Alex, you should be able to view as it comes from the Public Section:

You can remove the covers by gently warming the unit in an oven to soften the bonding material and then using some sort of sealant to re-bond but not something for the faint hearted.

    Thanks guy's,

The polishing kit looks like a good start before I put them in the oven on gas mark ten!

Cooking's not my strong point so best avoided. Could ask the wife to do it then blame her if it goes horribly wrong!
