    Default Water Pump Needed

Could someone tell me where I might be able to get a new waterpump for my 260?

It packed it in this morning, but when I went to Rimmer Bros website it says they are no longer available.

    Any help would be appreciated

Unfortunately this service is only open to members, go green, join the MGOC and its yours.

£20 plus postage and your old one so we can see if its possible to refurbish.

Isn't it a standard Ford unit, should be readily available?

The ones I was looking at are slightly different with open impellers but body looked similar. If anyone has replaced from importing from the states do tell.

I replaced mine a couple of years ago and used Rodley Motors, an American car parts supplier in Bradford. I just had to wait a couple of days for them to get one in. About £55 if my memory serves me correctly.

im pretty sure you will get one off the shelf from Real Steel in Uxbridge. Pretty much all Ford V8 stuff (and any american engine related parts) are available there. Give them a call though as in the catalogue I have they list o ne for the 4.6 but only show year up to 2002. Its about £45 though, so bargain!

Also, the other company to try online is USAutomotive - look for Mustang GT 2001-2004 ish, 4.6v8 SOHC. It will be the same water pump

I used to use Rodley's when I had my old 302 Mustang and found them very good!

just checked on US automitive website - they do have one, but its a remanufactured one and quite pricey at £116 though you will get free delivery.

Probably best try Real Steel or Rodleys as mentioned above in the first instance.

I did think I also saw them on ebay recently - maybe Les at SMC had some.....

in fact - here you go! i'm gonna order one as a spare at this price - 20% off.
