    Welcome

Everybody else has pointed you in right directions already

Linden in Huddersfield is your man and could swap the throttle body over too probably as he has fitted super chargers

We will definitely have to plan a northern meet now!

"If it's a choice between damaging something and keeping the bonnet shut, I'll leave the bonnet shut lol."

Think that's the best policy. Really pleased for you - I know it's a lovely car. So we both got our cars on the same weekend. look forward to meeting you sometime at a 260 meet.

Cheers Ric, yes very pleased. A couple of minor cosmetic issues but they're really nothing much and the interior is absolutely perfect - amazing for the miles and age.

The Pony is sorted too lol. Boiling water and careful use of a knife on the spare throttle body got it off then I stuck it on the body already installed on the engine. No nuts or bolts touched!

Well done and welcome to the collective and as others have said, Linden is your man for servicing.

    Thanks everyone for the replies!

Glad the colour is BRG pearlescent as that's the colour of the touch-up kit I took a punt on in Halfords on Sunday :-) I think it might end up with RAF roundels on it for Le Mans weekend in a couple of months time...

I've found one more similarity with the RX8 - the tyres are the same size, so I can use my existing spare set of Vredestein winters when the time comes.

After a good look around the car I'm thrilled with the spec. It's an SE with memory on the drivers seat (always wanted this as I'm very fussy about my seating position!) and Harmon Kardon hi-fi. Pete even threw in a spare wheel with a decent tyre on it. The only missing options I'm aware of are the rear blind and power folding mirrors and they're no loss.

Looks like it did a lot of m-way miles for the first 4 years of it's life, followed by a few years as a garage queen. This fits in with the un-worn interior and resprayed front bumper. It's done about 10k since 2008, which I'll soon put right lol.

It had new rear springs in 2010. Possibly had the fuel thingy done too, but I guess I'd better check.

The only problem I've found (now the Pony is restored!) is that the only speakers that work are the ones in the drivers door. I'm guessing this is just a loose connector, possibly from having a phone kit installed at some point in the past. Will tease the head unit out and check tomorrow.

One more thing is it has mats with a "260" logo on, but the mat is a little too long and will foul the clutch/accelerator if I'm not careful. I might get some LHD mats from Rimmer Bros - would this help?

It's interesting, my drivers mat seems to be too long and catches on the clutch pedal too. Let me know if Rimmers offer alternative.

If it is an official 260 one it shouldn't do.... or mind doesnt...

Only thing I can think of is who ever fitted them didn't fit them all the way back as you screw the floor mat holder tabs into the carpet... Might be worth taking matts out and seeing how far back they are fitted and if you can re fit them better.

Cheers Merl. I don't think they're official 260 mats as they don't have the holes for the tabs.
