Yus Adrian Flux can be quite good with their specialist insurance. When ringing about a classic lorry they beat Footman James by couple hundred quid, like anything just need to play the ringing round game lol!

thats good. P.B. with a 5k limit may not be that much more than the 3k limit.

    Good luck tomorrow

Well on the way back from Tractorpete's car. A lovely motor. A couple of concerns but only cosmetic. Soon tobe replaced front tyres, brake pipes will need attention, several scratches around the rear end, and interesting evidence of respray, as the front bumper does not exactly colour match the bodywork.
So it's not a no to this car yet, but were off to see the other one now. 500 miles being clocked up today for these bloody cars - I REALLY hope they're worth it!!!

They are worth it , I may be biased but I'm not the only one on here who is! Hope you enjoy your viewing of the second car.

Firstly the car has not as you infer " evidence of a respray",it has not had a respray, yes it may have had the front plastic bumper painted at some stage as have many of the cars on this site, however there is no evidence that the wings, outer or inner are not original!
Secondly the front tyres are not soon to be replaced.
Thirdly the brake pipes do not need attention,i merely stated that the ONLY advisory on the MOT in November was one brake pipe showing " slight corrosion".

This "potential buyer" remarked only on the few sratches on the car ,didn't look under the car ,didn't look at the excellent service history or anything really relevant in buying a good example of a car! His only inane concern was how shiny and scratch free he expected it to be for an 8 year old car with 56k miles on the clock.

So in summary, his answer may not yet be a "no" but i can assure him mine is! Buy another example.
Bad mouthing and criticising my car with fictitious and incorrect statements in the public domain is both unfair and certainly is not going to win you any friends.

Sounds a bit harsh, he did say it was a lovely motor and he only stated what you have! I wouldn't buy a car solely on service history anyway, big bonus yes, and I also don't blame him for seeing others either, all the same I hope you manage to sell soon.

    ..
I ignored the rest as I am not in the market.

Some people are capable of toying with their car and modifying. Some want perfection, then a few in the middle can do things but need help.

I disagree. I would never dream of viewing a car and then criticising it in public! Particularly with incorrect statements. Is it not fairer to expect potential buyers to view unbiased and then make a decision?.I would never expect someone to buy a car without viewing others but i certainly don't expect gossip and criticism in a public forum by the same token!
With comments like his on this site he will obviously inadvertently put prospective buyers off from the start! It's simple psychology !

Think this is a classic example of a buyer's view vs. a seller's view. Both descriptions state the same with different wording
