The valve covers can be very difficult to fit, due to clearance in the engine bay. :head
Thanks Andy
I am saving up for a supercharger now, after you have had a 260 with a supercharger on it nothing else will do will it !!!
what about the rocker covers:offt
very funny, you lot make me laugh sometimes:D;)
Sorry for going of topic.
I am new to forums,i will learn. but your alloy rocker covers i bought a pair around 3 years ago and i think they cost around £300 for the pair but the dollar was a lot more to the pound.
Steve
Ask on the Mustang Owners GB site, I have seen them pop up a couple of times over there.
Welcome along by the way x5power. Exactly how hard are they to fit?
Thanks Chris
I was under the impression that you have to take engine mounts out, but someone told me at a show that you can take the bulkhead plate off but i am not sure.
regards Steve
That sounds like the same trick as changing the rear spark plugs on the v6 car. Fiddly but way easier than removing mounts. Cheers Steve I'll look into it.
yes if you take out the bulkhead plate then they will come out,the plate can be a fidley job though.
i removed then of my old engine this way:)
Have you seen the pics of my old car on 75/ZT forum site? it shows rocker covers
steve
I think Wyn (Eurorover) fitted some to his
try real steel in Uxbridge
http://www.realsteel.co.uk/
do loads of stuff like that incl for the Ford modular V8
Yes Wyn fitted a set himself , I think he nearly received an asbo as the launguage was so bad, yes it was difficult not sure where he bought them from
Yes I fitted a set myself. got mine from summit racing there is a thread on here somwhere. be careful when ordering different covers for the V8i.e number of bolts and the oil filler side.
I can think of easier things to fit and im sure cake did not come into it
