That silver 260 is lovely, and a bargain price!! but will fall into the higher £400 road tax band. Wouldnt bother me, but you need to buy a pre March 2006 '55' reg or older car if you want to pay the lower £210 band F

I pay £405 on a 2006 06 plate.
Steve.
Thats only about an extra £3.50 per week. Got to be worth it for a late reg car!! Money can be saved else where. Some owners pay upwards of £120 per tyre, when they can be found for £60. Also big savings can be made on Insurance if you shop around, some pay £600+, others only £300.
I think if it's registered on a 56 you'll be looking at over £400, or is it 06?
I knew when I bought the car that I would be paying an additional premium but I was quite prepared to pay the additional cost for the right car. No regrets cut corners on other things for my MG.
Steve.
Thanks guys.
My heart is leaning toward a MK1 shape, more aggresive styling on the front end.
The search continues........
ref this cheap ZT V8 on P/H. i was offered it last week to value as straight purchase. seller has only just acquired it and doesnt want it !! maybe swopped it for a flatbed transit or something.HTML Code:if memory serves correct (this was for sale when I was looking for mine) this
was an ex-medical / ambulance car. There were some problems with the wiring
in the car internally. Also the satnav didnt work - and i dont think it was the
usual shutting down issue - so may not have been easily solvable. Should
check if this is now fixed.
Car was on pistonheads aprox 8-12 months ago for £5,000, i think in the
cambridge area. Seemed very cheap at the time - but there were reasons.
It seems to have done hardly any miles in the meantime.
Could be a good cheap car, but tread carefuly....
car was ex emergency response (hence front lights, aerial etc). the sat nav loses its GPS location intermittiently and comes up with different location. plus car has some electric issues as its had other elec bits fitted then stripped out. car has had a harder life than normal as a response vehicle, but not sure about other owners, so i declined to proceed any further and it was 4 owners and not FMGSH

I am bemused why the Ambulance Service would want such a car - the fleet manager must have been a fan of MG :D
Imagine the running costs etc (plus I don't know if they are affected insurance wise or are they under a balloon policy)
