They look very displaced with black doorcards!

My favourite seats are the ones that are cream in the middle and black on the outside, they seem to fit in better with the rest of the interior...

Still like the full cream seats though :)

Wasn't there a set up for sale recently(ebay) wonder if they have found there way to this car?,is it not possible to confirm the upholstery spec from the VIN/Build Number?,also they look remarkably clean for a 55k motor,no plates either or was it a private plate that has been removed........wheres Sherlock when you need him!.

Such a shame the monogram option was an expensive half hearted affair why couldn't they have done the job properly and trimmed the entire car.
I am not a great fan of black interiors they cook in summer and show every single hair left behind by my spotty dog

those seats most likely factory fitted special order - as I have the same in mine. You get used to them with the black interior - I rather like it! But they do mark easier. That car looks really nice.

Correct, a set went for £600 recently via eBay sold by a GC club trader to a GC club member and ended up a a green ZT - last four photo's of this post. I'd been bidding on them myself and dropped out circa £400, glad I did when I saw the condition of the front ones.

I have got this car in my 'list of considered' to buy, it is a semi-cheap flight away so not impossible. Any more known about it?

That garage is not a million miles from me, they used to be a MGR dealer and have dealt with 260's before that I'm aware of so should know what they are dealing with.

Ah good stuff. A cheap one-way flight may be on the cards then!

Has it got a carbon effect dash or is that just the photos, looks reasonable value for a dealer sale,

One word of caution, there are a lot of things that need or will need doing at or around 60k miles as I am finding out! Get a pro to check if poss or if not:

rear brakes, handbrake, cooling fan, aircon, handbrake, look for a large service 'c' service and lastly handbrake!

Dont assume that a small issue is an easy cheap issue to resolve!

FYI Cornhill is a very small village about 45 miles north of Aberdeen, getting from Aberdeen to there will not be easy (Hate to think what a taxi would cost!)

Car hire probably best option.

Thanks for the info, I do have Monty's in Penarth quite nearby so they'd be able to check. Definitely something to bring up during negotiating.

Their sales guy offered to pick me up from the airport himself so that shouldn't be too much trouble :)

I dont think you can determine the original build spec on these cars,

Some cars, such as VW Audi have spec labels, but never seen one on mine?

Believe me, you will want your first trip in the V8 to be a long one,

When I first got mine, I popped down the shops, 2 hours later... ahem!

Same; from Cardiff to Oxford. And there was a definite transition from "Oh dear, what have I blown all my money on?" to "Woo-hoo" :D

Would it have been fiddled with for the sake of 5k? Dealer said it was a part ex so maybe last owner just didn't have it long.

I'll keep an eye out for you, I live in Stonehaven just south of Aberdeen so you'll have to swing past my neck of the woods.

Congrats.

Get youre questionnaire into Tim and apart from all the extra info it will open for you on the forum Colin will be able to sell you lots of "stuff" from the shop!

Enjoy your new purchase.

I bought mine in Brighton and drove 310 miles back to Preston having never driven a 260 before.

Spent the whole journey with a smile on my face and never switched the stereo on once. I was just in awe of the noise it was making.

Don't think I'll ever forget that day :kiss

Literally snowing as I left Cornhill, managed to escape it. Battled home through the wind and rain but trip went without a hitch, car and occupants arriving in perfect comfort.
Did come back through Llandridnod Wells mostly in 3rd so that ate about 1/8 of a tank but soooooooo worth it :D

Also did my first pass through the Brynglas tunnels on Thursday, guy behind me did wonder why I'd slowed down to go in but soon found out!!
