I have just bought a 75 V8 05 Connie SE Vin 643 Reg V005 BYN, which I think belonged to a member of the site.

Big thanks to Paul for the help with that info. It is just getting it's Alloys refurbed and cleaned up by the garage and any niggles sorted and I pick it up in a few days...

Looked clean drove great and comes with a limited time warranty. From what I read in the garage the service seems to be upto date and quite comprehensive.

Any knowledge would be great of the specific vehicle if any members have it. I was going to sell my 190 privately but they have given me close to the value so will just trade it in.

I was more than happy to be of help, I think you have bought wisely especially considering the ZT we viewed the other day and the Rover 75 is much rarer and newer and being an SE has the extra's.
I think it will be a completely different beast compared with the ZT260 but I think you have made a good choice. Just double check the service history as according to the previous owner's thread it is due a service in August to continue its full service history. Remember the manufacturers recommendations are every 12 months or 5000 miles. And get it over to Austin garages once you collect it to give it the once over and if there are any unforseen problems you can get a claim in quickly through the warranty supplied.

All the best

By the way as you are an owner now I think you need to fill out the questionnaire fully and you will have access to the entire site being the owner of #643

Thanks everyone. Cannot wait to pick it up. I am on Holiday next week so I pick the car up the Monday I get back, with a nice leisurely trip back from Bury to the Midlands. They are re-doing the Alloys and valeting etc so should look good by then.

It is still on the website with 12 photos if you want a look http://www.azizimotors.co.uk/richard-cort/index.php?make=Rover&model=75&MinPrice=&MaxPrice=&Search=Search

Be prepared for lots of sleepless nights - there's a lot here. The index section is pretty new and brings together, amongst a lot of additional info, answer to the most frequent questions. Oh and there's no such this as a stupid question on here so ask away!
