Taken car to garage and there is a slight weep on the top pipe as it enters the radiator at the top on the drivers side. Can any one help me out with a part number for o-ring or gasket there... I don't know which it has.

Many thanks

Oh and is the cabin meant to get quite warm?

And again, the windscreen steams up more than my CDTi does... could it be a blocked plenum and/or clogged pollent filter?

Hello,

Contact Tim for full membership,

Cabin will probably get very warm, especially if aircon is not working.

If you turn climate off it will pump hot air all the time but this is normal.

If your aircon is weak but working you may have a balance valve problem which is very very common, no aircon could mean compressor which again is very very common.

They are prone to steaming up especially if the aircon is not up to speed.

Always worth checking the plenums, but this may not be the problem.

Where abouts are you?

Lets see some pictures!

Its the pipe below the one with yellow on that has the slight leak.. it is very slight tho.

The aircon is fine and the cabin is cool with it on.

Sorry for all the questions only had it 4 days! :)

I am in Leeds, West Yorkshire

It is one of the ironies of owning a 260, that you want to take it out on a nice sunny day and give it blast, yet most have aircon problems and you end up boiling in your own juices!

My aircon has problems at the moment and on a recent trip to Southampton (outside it was 21oC) I nearly boiled alive and the heat wave through the dash was tremendous!

D'oh!

Presumably it would be fairly easy to find something similar that would fit? Anyone done that?

:(

I wonder if a jubilee clip around it would suffice

Hi and welcome

Is this the one?

https://www.two-sixties.co.uk/gallery/albums/500/medium/DSC03238.JPG

This is a spare from the radiator I swapped about two years ago. It comes with the rad and is the same for the other 75/ZT models so should be available from a breakers. The rubber O ring is 30mm ID and 2mm thick so should be easy to source.

I see that you are in Leeds. I'm in Wakefield and you can have this one with pleasure if you need it.

Hi,

Yes that's the fella... thank you so much!! The car is actually in Ossett at the moment in my parents triple garage (mum is very happy.. not lol).

Would I be okay to collect on Sunday afternoon? I can come in the V8 or my lowly CDTi

Rob

Hi Rob,

Welcome to the club! You sold your cdti then and came over to the dark side :)

looks like they have sorted the part for you :)

If you need any work doing Linden on here has his own garage, is in Huddersfield and was where I had come from when I picked up the rear blind off you that day :)

He loves the 260 and won our own pride of show at Brooklands! A fair few members take their car to him.

3 people I trust with my car, Brian aka Scooter (Dreadnought), Linden (not sure what his garage is called as I know it as lindens lol) and Nick (Austins)

Hi,

Sold the CDTi ZT to a guy in Lincoln who is also on the 75&ZT site and then bought a CDTi ZTT which I've still got. The 260 is just a toy!

Hope the blind works ok
