Hi all
I have owned my zt260se for a few years now and love it. But the cabin has always been a bit on the warm side. I got my nearest dealer to have a look. I've read on this forum about the blender valve and that seems to be my problem. They wanted 1500 pounds to take my dash out for some reason! When i said about blender valve near pollen filter they had never heard of it. Now for my questions i was wondering if black olive is still making the uprated valves and if so how do i go about buying one?
thanks
bri

The Black Olive valve is available, due more stock next week, it is available for £180 inc P&P though there is a discount for full members of the club so might be worth completing your questionnaire and getting it sent into Tim. This will also give you full access to the forum and the club shop.

If you cannot find your questionnaire let us know and we'll send out to you

If you chose to go ahead at £180 let me know and I'll PM you details of how to order

Regards

Colin

Hi Brian and welcome.

Whereabouts are you, and who's the dealer you've been using? Some are much better than others, and there are well known very good specialists on here that look after us good and proper!

Thanks for the quick replys. I will fill in my questionnaire tommorow night as i have an early start in the morning and definitly need my beauty sleep. I didn't put the name of dealer as i was not sure of rules about that sort of thing. I live near southampton so i used seawards in portsmouth who seviced my car and seemed ok until this problem. Don't want to bash them to much but being a main dealer i thought they would know of this problem as seems very common. I have had a look at the valve myself since i got the car home and looks like an easy job to do myself or am i kidding myself? I am no stranger to working on cars as i also own a rover p6 3500s and a tvr griffith which keep my hands oily. Are there any hidden problems with the swap?

Welcome Brian.

If I can build them Im sure you can fit one. with a cold engine it can be done quickly without too much coolant loss

Unlike many forums we're pretty relaxed on here about naming people - where it's justified, Sewards have a pretty good name generally, the issue is there are few people out there with modern MG V8 knowledge and that's where this forum really helps.

If you keep your hands oily you've have no issue with the valve

I'm only in W Sussex so not a million miles from you

Welcome to the forums! Seems they have a bit of thing for not knowing common problems. My car was originaly sold and serviced by Sewards and had a leak in the boot. Only on the paperwork it liettraly says "Repaired but still leaks under heavy pressure"

Erm, that's not fixed then is it?! :fight

Took nick at Austins and a windscreen guy they use an hour, new clips and all was sorted no more leaky boot ;)

Welcome along. Mine has a manual valve. So if it's a hot day I just turn the valve off. I get snow out of the ac then. Lol

i didn't know there was so much on here.

There's loads on here, a lot is V8 specific, but not entirely, and for a limited potential membership it is really pretty active.

If there's something you're unsure about don't be scared to ask.

It took less than an hour to fit and the car is now like a fridge inside.
I'd like to say thanks to everyone for there replys and for making a great car even better:D.

Absolutely - and there is no such thing as a stupid question, we're all finding out new things about these cars all the time
