View Full Version : Rare MG ZT260SE for sale

John Newey

Here's a rare one! Just agreed to buy a 2005 "05" MG ZT260SE Mk I finished in X-Power Grey with Ash leather/Smokestone Alcantara trim. The car has covered only 43,500 miles and has full service history and only one private owner from new. The car is completely standard and has had no modifications what so ever. Must be a rare chance to buy a completely un altered MG ZT 260. The other surprise is that it is VIN No: 000188 and was registered 16/07/2005. Still finalising prices etc. Let me know if anyone's interested?

Colin, you can be 100% sure that though I won't be selling mine, I will be selling this one!! Reckon somewhere near £7k? Should have the car next week-just waiting for a cherished transfer to be completed. I'll post more details when I've got em.

Funny thing is, the owner bought the car brand new from the local MG Rover dealer in Wolverhampton. He lives only about 4 miles from me, yet I've never seen the car before! The owner always fancied a V8 and paid around £20k when MG Rover went into administration. He has never made any modifications from standard and he's never heard of us Two-Sixties. Just shows, there are a few cars out there that we don't know!

thats a very small world then John.

I suspect there's a lot of owners out there that have yet to discover the benefits of www.Two-Sixties.com (http://www.Two-Sixties.com) :)

Yeah Colin, you're probably right! All I know is the world of 260's is made much easier by being a part of this group-at least I know it is for me.

I'll second that John, its a lot more fun to, with this Forum and especially with the gatherings that we have :)

There are IIRC members on the gentlemens club who are V8 owners but are not members here

I guess because they are dedicated to the club rather then a specific club for just their model. Lord knows why but each to their own to be fair :)

Being on .org for a number of years, and still fairly active as well as the 75/zt club this is pretty much home forum wise. Hell even the chat and banter is just better.

But on a serious note, James C is after a nice 260 John and has a diesel ZT he wants to trade ;)

Trilby or flat cap? tweed obviously ;)

Ohh or how about elbow patches for the 260 fleece :~

Though that might be an idea if you are working on the car at a show... colour corodinated elbow patches!!! I think one of my trendy fleece tops had them on ;)

Hi James C, they are what are called "my silent salesmen"-seriously though, the car comes in later this week and I'll let you know about boomerang spoiler (though can always be retro fitted)

On a car of a more significant amount I would need to wait closer to July time as I'd rather finish clearing off my credit card before I take out a bank loan/finance on a vehicle.

Of course, should you still have it come then I would be very interested in taking a look :)

it might just be where John has saved the pictures, if its in his album on here, that may explain it.

Most of this forum is only accessable to members for good reasons, pictures include reg numbers, some personal info, and it prevents a lot of spam and comments from people who don't always know what they are talking about. As a result, there is no infighting on this forum and 99% of the posts are very informative. Once you own a car and join, I am sure taht you will appreciate the benefits!

I have tried to copy the pics here for you, I hop that this helps.
