I've been sending these out with minor adjustments to take into account the advert etc.

Sorry to bother you but your advert has been reported to me and I need to advise you that your information is incorrect.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370467154613

The hand brake pads are not for the Rover 75 MGZT/ZTT V8. The correct items are 180 x 30mm. The items you are advertising are correct for the smaller engine FWD vehicles.

To save you any recharges and inconvenience to V8 owners would you please adjust your advert.

Kind regards

I think these are the people that sent me front discs and pads for a 190 (wrong parts!) and rear pads for a 260 (wrong parts!) I've been trying to get them returned for 2 weeks and haven't got anywhere with them.

I did get an e-mail that said "we'll let you know how much extra for the bigger discs". I did however advise them that the order was correct it was them that sent the wrong parts. I haven't had much sense from them since

We also need to report them to ebay - it's false advertising

Has anyone ordered front discs from EBC, using the standard part number they quote for the 260? I received mine but never checked the diameter and have since shipped them to Australia (they should be arriving there this weekend). In hindsight I should have checked, fingers crossed they're the correct ones!

I have called the guys at EBC before, and from memory I am sure that they have the 190 and 260 fronts listed on different part numbers, but they are the same parts.

So you should be ok.

The problem lies not with the sellers but with the manufacturers, it's their catalogues that are wrong. The sellers are only going on the information they are provided.

Like this site !!!! (http://www.apecbraking.co.uk/search.php?cat=friction&range=662046)

yes youll def be ok there - I have front discs and pads from EBC and their fine and correct.

I have to say though, the EBC front discs seem to suffer corrosion quite heavily and in fairly short time. I am surprised at the state of mine after 2 years and about 20k miles, plus they seem to have worn very quickly as well, significant lip on them already. For some reason, the ones I got from them for my Rover 200 last much better - were a different kind of steel, that sort of tempered goldy hue and are fine after 4 years.

Not only that but my EBC discs warped after 10,000 miles and had to be replaced, not impressed.

Like wise, the inner face on the o/s has worn almost smooth on mine, will be looking for some OEM(got almost 60k out of them first time around)and will have them dimpled like the rears.

Ooohhh that's quite worrying as i have EBC standard disks on the front of mine. Can't say as i have noticed a difference as of yet, but best keep an eye on!
