Thinking about it I think he had a green one as well as the blue motorshow car. I recall a green one in the MGCC Silverstone paddock with "LUF1" on the numberplate.

I've spoken with David Wood today and can confirm he still owns the Dusty Blue SVR M6 LUF which featured in the 2004 NEC Motor Show alongside my concept ZR-X.

I also believe David used to additionaly have a Green SV, but let that go in favour of the more powerful SV-R which at the time was still unregistered.

Luffield will have two TF LE500 Race Cars in this years MGCC championship.

Regards,
Bruce.

I know I'll get punched (hard) in the face for saying this, but the SV reminds me of lots of kits cars I've come across (and, yes, I've owned a couple).

The front looks fine, but when they get to the back they say to each other... "oh, fuck it, those old Lucas lights always looked good, let's stick them on". Then after they've done it they say "oh, bollocks, they aren't bright enough, have we still got any of those reflectors we bought when Raleigh went titsup?"

I said I'd get punched... :~

Always nice to see a SV. Mr Stuart Watson's SV No 106, the sixth production example.

David's Car is No 139, pictured here at Windsor in 2009 with ZR-X as we recreated the 2004 Motor Show !
