If anyone has a set of MKII (Single piece) headlight protectors that they want to sell for a ZT I would be interested.

I'm thinking of some kind of transparent tape as protection.
Anybody tested:confused:

Don't like the look of it, would rather find a good transparent tape even though they don't give the same protection.

I tried to get hold of them but as soon as I mentioned MG I think they knew where it was going and I never heard back!

Thanks for the consideration Colin, maybe we can make some they are only moulded bits of clear plastic, I seem to remember doing something similar at school with a sheet of plastic and some heat!

Dead easy to fit, although i found the screw that come with them aren't that good so i re tapped mine slightly bigger and used a stainless steel allen bolt cut down to size, the go underneath the top of the bumper center of the light and sit in a recess, i removed them everytime i cleaned the car as used to get things stuck between the light and protector. managed to find a picture from the vast collection i have when i owned 860

Thanks for that, I will have another look at them!

The first set I had came with instructions, so I remember them to be fairly easy, but I can remember and twiddled around with the metal thing before giving up!

Will give it a go,

Cheers

BTW Pessling, are you going to get another 260? I wanted yours but yours sold just before I was ready to get mine :(

Yeah i might do one day, ideally if i was to i would want my one back but doubt that would happen, although when i sold it it wasn't the same car as i removed most of the upgrades, when i refitted my zero's having removed the x powers it just wasn't as fun, loud is good, should hear my cerbera

Fair doos, cant argue with the a Cebera it has to be said, how is it running one of those compared to the 260?

Totally different cars to say in comparison, fuel wise its worse but i expected that, i treat it as a toy as i like doing my own maintenance and upgrades on it.

Just started taking the rear suspension apart to fit Gaz gold pro coil overs, plus poly bush all the wish bones arms etc, but started raining so only got one side off at the moment and back to work tomorrow so will have to wait till Friday to remove the rest, but can remove the old bushes at work using the hydraulic press which will make life easier.

Paul, Thanks for the info, I noticed the other day at combe your headlamp covers were made in australia of all places , oh I think you had better remove them at silverstone as there so rare, they might end up in the auto jumbe for sale;)
