Was it "GT Racing"???

The 32V will not fit in the ZT without major bulkhead rebuild.

I like it. :D

The SHM Comp. block is twice that.

But would still stay with the SHM/KB SC and Brians service..

Yes that sort of statement bothers me a bit if there were some cars out there with these engines in I think we would know about them.

Yes it is a factory built engine from the usa, there is a data plate on it it is still boxed new unused the plate has a signature on it as well. comes with everything down to charge cooler pump header tank everything. They are also going to remap the ecu. work starts friday eve after work. I will have to run it in for a while but i will be sure to put it on a r/road soon after. Just see whee we are. I used to have a e55 so it has alot to live up to. But less than half the price so real good value. I also think these cars wil be classics real soon, How many are left out of the 883?? Do you guys ever meet up if so where is the next.

Occasionally, but once you have the work carried out Im sure some of us Midlands based owners would love to see the outcome:D. Something local im sure could be arranged:)

bloody buggering hell, pot's nearly up to that, and a new engine to boot- could remove the kit and fit it to my engine at my leisure. will watch with interest.

edit, it will need rolling roading to remap, you should get a power figure- 400- 450 hp reasonable with 9psi of boost, and enough for the clutch and gearbox

Didn't Linden get his engine with a Rouch charger from Brian?

I was watching that one Dave. Well done and good look with the upgrade.

Hi Lindon
You say yours is a stage 1 , this engine is a stage 3 , I have been told it has a billit crank rods and 7.5;1 compression pistons it also comes with a 100% bigger chargecooler. He has said 540hp does this sound right .On the web alli find is the 385 spec but stage 3 seems to be more 3v or full monty 32v s/c engines? I must admit 385 is still good power so if its only that for the price its still a cheap upgrade. I WORK NIGHTS!! When i was on my way home this morning i poped in to my local factory centre,, and had a play ,, need a passanger door wiper lol lv the lsd goes sideways well. Bring back the days of capris and the old vitesse. When i was a we nip myself and mates used to have mk1 and 2 escorts, We used the same factory cen and a practice track but we used to buy diesel and chuck it on the road .This was great fun It was like driving a 300hp car..at 17. Now i see the error of my ways honest....

If this lump does have 500+ bhp you need to look seriously at an alternative gear box or accept you may well break the standard one eventually, which is a pita because it is quite a piece of work to replace it.

Personally I really would like to ditch the standard box and fit a six speed sequential unit.

I saw one being operated by steering wheel paddles a while ago with the gear lever moving in unison on its own that looked rather nifty!

Hi All,

I spoke with Mr Riley this morning and have shown an interest in the Roush Supercharger he has for sale, hes going to keep it for me and I will have a look at it on Fri to see if the kits complete. He has also said he will fit it for me also (20 Hrs work).
He said he was fitting an engine on Fri and asked me to bring mine down as well to fit the blower. I think at the moment I will buy it if complete and keep hold of it until I have extra funds to fit it. I may, depending on how Dave gets on get him to fit and remap it. But if anyone knows of someone who could fit & re-map the Roush it would give me other options.

Any comments welcome,

Regards

Nigel

Having driven several paddle shift cars, I've yet to find one that's any good, took a DB9 on track and the delay on the gearchange was disconcerting if not dangerous

I think the paddle shift 260 would probably of been quicker on the move than the current manual box ??

tried it on '59 Mini (no synchro on first), a 66 Vitesse (no synchro on first - so did a later overdrive gearbox conversion) and tractors. Failed double decllutching on all occasions!!

Hi Nigel
I will be there for just after 4pm friday i would like to get the front stripped rad out and maybe a few other bits so on sat we can get the motor in. I have seen the kit he has it looks all there. The only thing is make sure about the pully size as the amount of boost its set for as too mutch will pink and kill your engine. I am no expert but i belive 6psi is about as mutch as safe on a std compresion engine. Best to be safe and ask. It looks as new condition. I would have thought it would not be hard to fit yourself. After book it in to a rr to tune it . Trailer it there and leave it to an expert.

might see you friday

Hi All

I will be going to have a look at the Roush supercharger tomorrow, cash ready but it all depends on whats there. I spoke to WR this afternoon and it is not a complete kit. However I have asked advice and as long a certain items are there, the rest can be obtained. So unless I recieve a call from Dave ( he has seen the supercharger at WR workshop) before I leave home tomorrow morning at 0900 telling me that he did not see a Manifold (which the blower sits on) attached too or with the Supercharger. Ill just have to go and have a look. It will cost me a tank of petrol and some time but if it all works out I may have a ZT385 before xmas. And all for less (I hope) than £2500
Fingers and everything else crossed.

Regards

Nige

PS, Dave if you read this please contact me anytime tonight up until midnight on my moblie or any time after 0700 Fri AM on my home number or mobile up to 0900. After 0900 ring me and let it ring off and I`ll ring you back as ill be driving. Thanks

I have just got home its 00;45 so too late to call. There is most of it there and in very good condition the lads that work there have good idea of what is what also one is a bit of a wiz with remaping and can do this no prob. Have a good look and im sure it will be worth a trip. I didnt get chance to call today sorry. Ask what happend to the mustang and see if there is amy bit you need off that. Loads of stuff there i dont think you will find what you want and if there is bits missing mail order from roush!! mutch cheaper then a kenny bell kit.

Hi All

Well, I spoke to Dave this morning and Matt from WR garage and the supercharger has no manifold, WR says it will fit without it but other experts have said without the manifold its a no go.
Shame as it was probably the only way I was going to get a blower.
Oh well the kids can eat again this week lol
He wanted £1100 for the supercharger and a few bits, the blower is on sale on its own for 385 dollars from Roush + P+P

Back to the drawing board..........

I was going to post ad ask wht the script was, that would explain why Ive just had a phone call from them saying that they have a supercharger for sale !!

I did ask if they had a manifold with it, but "stan" said they would have a look and Will would get back to me.

the manifold is the tricky bit to get hold of as you say, S/C no use without it. I can make alternator brackets etc, but not a manifold !!

Is it not available on any of the US sites, might be worth asking on some of the mustang forums over there, assuming it's the same.
