That ad is a bit short on info. Also why on earth does he not MOT it?

I would be wary of a car with no MOT, it would only take an hour of his time to take it for a test.

this might sound a bit snooty, but it always puts me off when people cant even write in proper language! "Aint been drove in 3 year". Just makes me think dodgy geezer.

But if it is bonafide, would be an excellent bargain!

personally I would look elsewhere due to the points made above and its not really moved for 3 years. There's others about for not much more

"AND NOT BEEN MESSED WITH LIKE HALF OF THEM ON EBAY "

Slander :fight

But then mine has been modified (messed with) :D

What can be too wrong to fail the MOT??

As you say a good price, If not a scam. ;)

If you go with cash to any car/large purchase, take a few friends with you.

It's showing as SORNed on the DVLA website, so could well be legit, but I'd prefer one that had been used a bit, or at least had an MOT!
The vehicle details for K20 OJB are:
Date of Liability 01 07 2011 Date of First Registration 14 03 2005 Year of Manufacture 2005 Cylinder Capacity (cc) 4601CC CO2 Emissions 314g/Km Fuel Type Petrol Export Marker Not Applicable Vehicle Status SORN Not Due Vehicle Colour GREY Vehicle Type Approval M1

Without Insurance it needs a Trader/Garage to transport it.

Looks like a nice car, but I do think cars need to be driven to keep them in good nick, starting for a while at weekends doesn't help I don't think.

It's a hell of a lot of car for the money though, and if I was in the market I would have a look at it.

Presumably a SORN'd car can't be test driven? might be a worry?

No. A car needs a very good engine hot up to clear the water in the Oil.

Needs Trade plates?

Vehicle status: SORN not due.... if it was taxed, that bit would read 'licence not due'. ;)

looks like an incomplete tel no. on the Pistonheads site. But maybe they deliberately obscure it?

I dont know why im saying this, but for some reason it reminds me of when my Dad's Escort convertible on a b-plate was stolen. It was found, with virtually no more miles on it, only a mile away in a council flat's garage 10 years later where it appeared to have been left undisturbed all that time! :duck

was quite nice though as I recall - metallic blue with RS alloys. Was a real shame. Remember cruising the streets as a family in the Volvo estate the night it was stolen, looking for it and the barstuards that stole it! (it was the 2nd time).

Pistonheads always do that...

Its one of these "safe" numbers, so your mobile details are not broadcast around the internet, cutting down on spam calls and fraudsters.

You can get insurance for around £15-20 pounds for the day (Plus admin fee), And as long as you book an appointment with the test centre then you are fine.
