I maybe wrong but I seem to remember seeing a post on here a few months ago about what wheels could be fitted to a ZT260 but having searched for it again I can't find it. I am looking for a boot spare for the 260 I am buying tomorrow as I don't like the idea of relying on a can of gunk but ideally I would like to get a cheapish set of 4 wheels so that I can get the Apex wheels it currently runs on refurbished. I know that 18" straights and 18" Apexes were fitted to the 260s, would 18" Grid-spokes or any other design or size ( 17" ? ) of Rover 75/MG ZT wheel be suitable ?

Also any ideas where, apart from here, the R75/ZT owners site and eBay that I might be successful in my search ?

Thanks John

PS Can't wait to pick up my 260 tomorrow :)

you need 18's to clear the brakes.

straights, apex, vortice or gridspokes ok, hairpins too weak

What will fit and what you can find quickly is the challenge.

They sometimes come up but it can take time.

Some of the Rover 75 V8's ran on 7.5"x17" Star Spoke wheels. Part No.RRC005420 MBS.

I was told the 17" 'mirage' alloys dont fit the 260 when I asked, which is shame as SMC had sets of new ones in stock :(

was only a tempoary measure while I had my Apex's refurbished on my previous 260 #312, but the Mirage alloys fitted that ok.
