Hi Andy, I saw that Estebes mentioned two V8 in Holland advertised by Roto Garage BV. I've got the VIN numbers of these cars: The Rover 75 V8 got VIN-number 000799 with the colour brown and dutch licenceplate 62-RH-ZG; The MG ZT-T got VIN-number 000707 with the colour black and dutch licenceplate 74-RX-VB; I also looked at current ZT 260's for sale in Holland. These are the ones I found: Licenceplate - VIN - colour: 20-PJ-BD 000590 blue 73-PS-DJ 000663 black 18-PJ-BD 000569 blue 69-PR-ZD 000728 grey 04-RF-LV 000832 black 64-PX-JZ 000735 grey 54-PP-VH 000710 green All of these cars are LHD. Hope you can add this to the VIN list. Eric

Have been looking for a 260 here but the all have a high mileage (or kilometrage..:D..) I am used to have my steering wheel on the 'wrong side' so I am looking in the UK for a nice Mk 2 with FSH and low mileage. I'am kind of a collector with 8 Triumph's, a classic Mini, VdPlas Princess 1300 and a few rare model Nissan's. In Holland it looks like everybody is driving dull german sedans so it nice to be different with a 260..:D...

Thank you :kiss

Just to put in a format I can work with easier:

75 V8 VIN 799 brown dutch licenceplate 62-RH-ZG;
MG ZTT VIN 707 black dutch licenceplate 74-RX-VB;

Licenceplate - VIN - colour:
20-PJ-BD 590 blue
73-PS-DJ 663 black
18-PJ-BD 569 blue
69-PR-ZD 728 grey
04-RF-LV 832 black
64-PX-JZ 735 grey
54-PP-VH 710 green
All of these cars are LHD.

I will enter in lists tomorrow:)

Looks like the 04-RF-LV is the brother of my 06-RF-LV. Also a ZT-T btw.
Know the dealer, me and my family have lived within several 100 meters for years.

The Rover 75 V8 I mentioned before standing in a showroom of a MG/Rover dealer is VIN number 837. It's Royal Blue with beige interior and with an auto-gearbox. I spoke to the owner and he said it was the last new one available in Holland. He is asking 62.000 euro's for the car...thats about 52.500 pounds....That's why I am looking for a V8 in GB :D...

Why are they so expensive in Europe?

I know they are very rare in LHD but thought the following or lack of would offset this?

Is it just the rarity keeping the prices very high?

The lefties are nicer to drive.:D
I would think it's the rarity of them, there are not many that want to drive a right hand drive even though I find no problems with it.
I almost bought a right hand drive MK1 before I bought #217. The guy selling had two ZT260's.
I bought the left hand drive cause of the colour and I like the MK2 body, I also think it will be easier to sell but that is not in a near future.

It's the original selling price in Holland. Don't think that he is ever selling it for that price but the fact that there are only a small amount of LHD will sell to someone who has the money...or the love for british cars..:D

Hi,

This week I read in Holland's leading car-magazines named 'AutoVisie' that its head-editor Ton Roks has bought car # 590 (dutch licenseplate 20-PJ-BD). It has 60.000 km on the clock and reading the article it was a former MG Press-car in Holland in 2004 which he had used to test in those days. I think that there was a test of this car in Autovisie (done in Scotland) but I haven't found it yet.

If I may give an idea: contact Ton Roks (t.roks@autovisie.nl) and try to get some more info about this car. It might also be a a good way to introduce The TwoSixties to him and while he is the head -editor of this magazine.....;)...maybe get some publicity here in Holland.....:D
