Hi All,

I'm off to pick up Willow's, now my, car on Wednesday. Can't wait! However, I need to sort out my insurance beforehand. Which is the best and most competitive company to go for?

Cheers

Rob

I'd start with Peter Best, http://www.peterbestinsurance.co.uk/ many members have found them the most competitive, though it must be said not all.

Be clear on any modifications and limited mileage, classic policy may deliver best result

Adrian Flux were the best quote for the 260, and also my Mustang which they have been insuring for eight years.

A Flux 0844 888 5544

Cheers Chaps,

I've used Adrian Flux before when I had my Tickford Turbo Capri. However, they weren't competitive this time coming in at £550, on 3K a year mileage limit. The best has been Lancaster at £371 for the same deal though I need to confirm by phone. Still gotta try Peter Best as couldn't get through before. All the rest were circa £650 and above. Bell came in at £1011 :D.

Any others worth trying?

Cheers

I pay a lot less than that and I don't have any mileage restrictions. Are you quite young?

You really do just have to try them all - the "best one" totally depends on your exact circumstances.

Lancaster was one of my worst quotes: £800 (SDP).

Bell came in at £1011
Bell was my best non-classic quote @ £470 including business usage.

Seems very inconsistent!

I went with Peter Best in the end, £270 on a 3K mileage limit. I'm 33 so wouldn't say I was young. Think this is a fair price.

Thanks again.

Roll on tomorrow! :D

Well I wouldn't as he is older than me!! Is Ian or is it Stu that is the youngest or have we got someone younger lurking around?

Hmm not sure, i just turned 25 3 weeks ago :) I know im the youngest driver on our fleet at work :D

Talking of insurance though, just had my renewal through and at the moment with no ncb (reinstatment of bonus pending) come out at a rather jaw dropping horrific price. Still, Bell alot cheaper then others even at this price!

It's not your end of the age range that I'm bothered about, I'm rather worried that I'm about to be penalised for being too old.

Please tell me that there's someone older than I am on here. :o
