Does anyone know this car? It's up for 5995, I'm interested coz it's in my price range. If anyone has details please let me know. Also it's in Nottingham, are any members from there that would be willing to have a look please?

I don't have a lot of info, but I spoke to the trader yesterday. This was apparently an MG Rover car + then bought by the previous owner in April 2005. VIN #035. It was recently traded in, hence why it's a good price (allegedly).

If it was nearer, I'd go and take a look, but I'm still hoping for a Mk2.

Oh, and the trader was on this forum (https://www.two-sixties.co.uk/mgoc260/html/f0rum/showthread.php?t=6460) asking about a suitable selling price a couple of weeks ago.

I was quite accurately on the forum a couple of weeks back but in fact I was not enquiring on a price , I was saying that I was thinking of going at 5995 and in fact offering on here to give the users of this forum first chance before I went "Public" . It wasn't apparently a cheap car , it was a cheap car. The first person to look at it yesterday bought it as it is in fantastic condition

Just shows (again) that you've got to get in quick when there's a good one on the market...;)

Absolutely - the cars are certainly sought after and when priced at that level will get snapped up quickly

Glad to hear someone has got a good deal. As I said on another thread (https://www.two-sixties.co.uk/mgoc260/html/f0rum/showpost.php?p=62176&postcount=18) it wasn't going to hang around if genuine (I wasn't trying to insult you with "if genuine", but you know how some adverts forget to mention the "bad bits" ;) ). And I appreciate you offering it here first - if you find a Red Mk2 SE, I'd be grateful if you'd also offer it here first... on second thoughts, don't mention it here - just get in touch with me!

Oh b*ger, It obviously wasn't meant to be! Was just on way to bank to sort pennies! Hope it's been bought buy a genuine buyer and not like 06 xpower Mk2 bought for 6k by trader and on Autotrader for 7995 (first up for 8700!)

By coincidence, I just came across this Autocar article (http://www.autocar.co.uk/CarReviews/RoadTestsHistory/MG-ZT-4.6-V8-260/206345/). I thought "that registration looks familiar" and then remembered it was the one that sold last week.

So this was a genuine press car!
