Hi Chris,
Not an easy quest. You will not find an auto ZT 260, although I think that there are a couple down under and 07! :D. 75 V8 is, of course auto, but only available in facelift form and not Trophy Blue. Hairpins are not suitable for V8s.
Good luck and best wishes for your search, Tony.

There is a nice 75 V8 on autotrader and ebay, low miles £9995. Its an auto, if thats any help. The list of extras on it is bewildering.

those Rover's are wolfs in sheep's clothing.

Due to the slow manual gearchange, in real life, the Rover V8 may be quicker on the move than the ZT V8

I have to agree.... :D

Also, purely out of interest, do you have a budget in mind, in case anyone was thinking of selling?

i thought i recognised the car, its the one that was at the breakers a couple of weeks ago. Even says so on the advert on ebay. Although fo what damage there is for it to be written off was wrong. A bargain for someone but needs repairing and a new rear bench seat.

Hi Chris, For info, this is the car that appeared on Copart a few weeks back - it would appear that the Ebay seller purchased it and has just given it a good clean up. Not sure what it sold for, but I suspect he's doing pretty well if he get's the asking price!

Yup thats right it went for £3185 ..

Guessing seller might have found it to be costly to sort out ?
considering whats needed to be done I think hes a tad hopeful ...
and that only taking his description as gospel..

altho' it has got a nice long MOT and a lump of road tax .

Do it up for 1500 ish and it about trade price ... but it will always have the CAT D hanging over it ?.

still ??? ;)..

Probably could get a couple of better ones around 6k ?? but not Trophy blue at the moment!

I went to Spalding to Get my wifes Trophy Blue ZR .. so I do the long trips.. but not just on spec'

Seller has just got back to me, Gave me a list of the rather high COPART additional costs total costs and a few bits N bobs hes had done ... totalling now 3960..

But theres also no history with the car ...

So 4k+ with no history and the Cat D is making the car a possible no go .......

why does it have to be a trophy Blue one ..

Wonder if I could Pt ex my CDTI for one wanting to downgrade ??

Yup I did try to buy it Via a Trade friend but got pipped by this chap ..

Hes had it MOT/taxed and with all the copart xtra's its setting him just under 4k .

But with the work still needed , paint/interior/aircon + whatever else ?? , with the the CAT D and No history its looking a bit steep when I would only go to 6-6.5k for a good 260..

At the end of the day it depends how much the colour is worth to you - as you know there weren't many built that colour

Still trying convince myself on this lil blu'un..

It my main failing .. think too much and miss the deal ! ;).

Not presently able to contact / talk to the seller, but will keep trying..

But will ask the 'Spurt's on here!! in the mean time

Does an SE have cruise/ Message centre etc ??

Just comparing it spec wise to my current CDTI , with all the bit N bob's I've added.

Well it passes the time eh?... Also finding it tricky at the mo to get the time to even visit/view /buy with it so far away ..
