I've seen the satnav/tv from the MG 7 is available on the internet but does anyone know if you can buy the MG7 LWB front/bumper/grill? (it's the rover 75 prestige front end with an mg badge)
Always liked the idea of getting the prestige front and fitting chrome mesh and an MG badge, but would be great to get it virtually already done from China.
Obviously would have a major cost implication!

Spot on, thats exactly what I'd pictured, new to this forum so didn't know it had already been done. Think it looks great, gives it a real presents. Love the older style mg badge on the mg7

Have seen quite a few bumpers for sale at very reasonable prices.
The issue seems to be getting hold of all the trim pieces for them.

No, not a factory option.

Maybe a better option would be to buy prestige front from breakers yard and the trim from China? would be a lot cheaper!

I heard that you had to convince the dealer that it was for a repair of a car out in China. Not sure if thats still the case?

They are being ever so careful about parts coming back to Britain. Don't understand why as at the end of the day its business.

business is business, but its a totally different culture we are dealing with with different ways of doing things. It can be hard enough with different countries within Europe, but China I guess is a totally different game.

maybe they think they are protecting their uk spares market by controlling who ships what back to the UK. Afterall I guess they don't want to miss MG UK out of the loop as its more profit for them (globally)

I've worked extensively with the Chinese - my guess is they dont want to do it as the return is small and controlling it is expensive
