Are you not concerned about the stigmatism attached to fitting lexus lights to your car?

So it appears they are no lexus lights about right now. Must be the Black ones for me, mike.

:~ Nope, just want it to look a bit different at the back, already got twin spoilers fitted, so looking good, mike.

But they do look better than the originals, at least on a dark car

I just think they look tacky and never suit the lines of the car, the reverse lens on the standard lights flows with the numberplate recess and the trim on the boot.

And 9 times out of 10 they end up all fogged up because the chinese factories can never seal them up right.

Amazingly the clear plastic on the lexus follows the same flow and trim.

Hello,

do you really think that those "unbritish" lexus lights suit to a very british car like the ZT/75?
IMHO those lights will make a good looking and well designed british car look a bit cheaper - not necessarily better. Anyway everyone can decide that on his own.

2K clear coat mixed with some black base works a treat, but if you cover the reflectors you run the risk of having the car prohibited and failing your MOT.

I have to agree, I have never seen a car that looks good with lexus lights, not even a Lexus!
I'm open minded though, is anyone brave enough to post some pictures for us to laugh at, I mean admire! :~

Got to admit, although not my style, those black lights look OK on a black car. Much better than the silver ones at least!

As for the Lexus lights on a Black car, I thought I attach a big pic.

They only call them Lexus lights as they first appeared on a Lexus
No one would call day time driving lights Audi lights, would they

Message from Al :-
I had the lights tinted using a guy on ebay, just took them off and sent them to him and he had them back to me within a week, sorry I don't have his details but think he was in the southwest, he's done a few sets for me and they've always been perfect and most importantly stayed looking that way.

Would that not fail an MOT then?

Yes it would. Although the regulation don't that the reflectors need to be in the light unit so you could use separate reflectors

Test Description

The headlamps are checked for alignment with a Beam Setter. After first aligning the equipment with the vehicle, the left and right headlamp beams are checked to ensure they are correctly set so as not to dazzle other road users.

All required lights are checked for:
operation
condition
security

Side lights and headlamps:
are the correct type and colour
dip and aim.

Stop lights, indicators and hazard lights*:
are the correct type and colour
do not interfere with each other in operation
driver's tell-tale works with respect to indicators, or there is an audible warning system.

Rear Fog lamps**:
must be fitted to the centre or offside of the vehicle
tell-tale must work
must not be affected by other lamps and not be obscured
must be red.

Number plate lamps:
All lamps fitted must be working.

Rear reflectors:
There must be two red reflectors fitted reasonably symmetrically, securely attached and not obscured.

* Must be fitted to all vehicles first used on or after 1st April 1986, but if fitted, must be Tested.
** Must be fitted to all vehicles first used on or after 1st April 1980.
