Load space protectors by Zeb

Custom-made for the Rover 75 Saloon & Tourer
MG ZT & ZT-T

Email me on: zebs_bootliners@btinternet.com

If you have dogs, have to use your car for your trade, don't like / have room for a trailer, occasionally get stuck taking stuff to the tip or from the garden centre then this load space protector will keep your car looking immaculate.

The load protectors have been specifically designed for our cars and are made from 5.5mm plywood and 20 x 50mm pine. The entire structure is screwed together using 25 mm 30 mm and 50 mm wood screws. Light weight, very strong and easy to put in or take out....a 30 second job! (Although once in, you might not feel the need to remove it.)

These come in three parts; two 'base' units, which drop in side by side, and the sliding 'tray' which drops in on top. The fully adjustable tray will slide up over the folded down rear seats offering protection from those larger loads, whilst being easy to slide back into the boot when the job is done and the seats are required. However, if your car does not have fold down seats, this unit can be supplied in two parts with the seat back protectors built in.

Available in light oiled wood 3 x coats, matt black x 3 coats + matt varnish x 2 coats or plain wood ~ other options at buyer's request ~ even a walnut veneer is possible at additional cost!

These are a well engineered, solid piece of kit that should last as long as your car.

Price: £85 Plain wood + fixed seat back (No extendable tray)
£95 Plain wood + extendable tray

Oiled finish add £5
Varnished / stained (choice of colours) add £8
Matt black + matt varnish add £8

I will be attempting to have all orders built within a week.

Delivery: £25 in the region of 100 miles of Skegness - delivered + fitted personally.

Other distances by negotiation or via a meet is possible.

Collection welcome!

Real wood....better protection than rubber....:D

For info the black one pictured above is the one Zeb is making for my car, he's put days of work into it, building it to a specificaion we discussed and agreed upon, has kept me regularly updated with progress and we've made refinements as he progressed with the build.

I am hoping to get up to Skegness before the Brooklands meet and thus have it fitted in time for Brooklands.

I have not managed to find a rubber mat that offers the level of protection I need - spending a lot of time on a farm means the car is used to carry all sorts of things - most of which create havoc in the boot.

There is no way I could have produced anything along these lines, and certainly not at the price, and so I was delighted when Zeb came up with the idea.

Should be picking mine up weekend of the 27th so if you're at Brooklands you can see what the Saloon one looks like - have to use your imagination and the pics for the Tourer

Well, as I have said elsewhere, IF I can sell more* then I will put summat aside for the club...'course if Ragman sells some then it would be rude not to acknowledge such efforts...

N.B. They are on ebay now....but not at 'club rates' ...that is, they are on at a slightly more realistic amount in terms of build-times etc...

*Yes, I acknowledge the fact that I may not....:)

Just a quick note to thank Zeb and his wife for looking after me so well when I went up to collect my load area protector today, got treated to lunch!!!

The load area protector itself is absolutely brilliant, I am delighted with the design, quality and workmanship!

I'll post some pics tomorrow hopefully, and I'll ensure it's in the boot at Brooklands

Nice one Carl and please pass my regards to Laura

Thanks, and no pheasants on the return trip thankfully, and the one on the way up seems to have come off worse than the car!!

Load protector put to great use at the weekend, three old wardrobes cut up into sections and thrown into the boot, no hassle on damaging the boot trim, made it easier to get the bits in and out as sliding on wood not carpet - thanks again Zeb, very worthwhile investment
