Hi i am buying this car and had wondered if anyone has seen her before or knows the history.
http://www.churchsperformancecars.co.uk/detail.asp?StockID=1011

Also i noticed a noise on the test drive it sounded like air flow or something like that and only happened after 3500 Revs is this normal ?

Thanks Pete

(SORRY :( this may be the second time I've posted this although im sure i deleted the last one it went some where !)

Not sure those wheels are sufficiently robust for the V8...they are facelift 190 spec wheels and never recommended, nor appeared on the V8...

That's Guys old car!

Had Apex's last time I was with it. Guy sold it to a garage I think, it then disappeared for a while. PM Guy and ask for the details.

Yup that's my old car! In fact I put the wheels on. The original "straights" are on Tim's Rover 75!!:p. The wheels are perfectly ok on the car. The little MG stickers are even still on the brakes - Didn't think they would last as long as they have!

The car had full service history when I traded it, and Peter had done the diff oil. I had no problems with the car at all. Still looks good.:)

Speak to Ragman (Colin) as I'm sure that's in his neck of the woods...

Hi Pete- was the airflow noise like a rushing/fizzing/sizzling noise from the drivers footwell/transmission tunnel. If so its well known, the flow restrictor will not be fitted in the heater pipe. Its easily fixable and nothing to worry about.

The wheels are fine, they were standard fitment on the non SE 260.

Good luck with the car Pete :)

On some of our cars the mustang was 'acquired' by others as a trophy.

I used to live in Larkfield - we moved there in 1967 before the M20 was built.
It was second choice when my Father left the army as we were originally going to do the £10 Tourist trip to Australia but my dear Mother bottled at the last minute so they bought a new Semi for £2500 iirc

I have fond memories of Maidstone before commercialisation and modernisation messed it up!

My Mother lives in Bearsted now.

I'm not much use with recommendations in Kent as I have lived outside the UK for fifteen years :), but I grew up in Maidstone and like Keith have good memories of it. My parents lived in Penenden Heath and I went to Maidstone Grammar School. A great school which set me up very well for university and my career. I still keep in touch with the school in fact and hosted a visit by 30 Year 12/13 French students here in Paris just before Christmas.
Cheers,
Julian.

If you need the Mustang badge for the throttle body. There was one on the bits I left with Peter Wayte which I think Tim has now got. There was also one on the throttle body I left at Dreadnought when I had the blower fitted. So they are around if you want to look for one.

I'm sorry Tim. After we spoke about my donating to the club the bits left over after my supercharged blow up I thought you had collected them from Peter. There are some brand new bits there that were pulled of my new engine as surplus to requirements. Including a new throttle body!

Do you want me to get over to Peter and collect them or will you do it?

No just give him a kick. We've talked about it a few times now and he was going to bring them over. Last time I said put them in the back of my car while he had it. If you collect then I would need to get them off you.

I need to talk to him about some other things so will chase again. If that does not work will take a day off and drive over. :D

Hi what is a good throttle body to upgrade to or the best ? Is it accufab ?

I have two American garages near me ones a repair shop and the other is a import and repair shop with loads of Roush Mustangs so is this where I'd go for the parts... I have no idea
