I am off to Belfast tomorrow morning to collect No.700, returning via Rosslare/Fishguard very early on Wednesday morning. It will be a long day, but hopefully an enjoyable one.

Nice drive back (weather permitting) from Fishguard though. Some nice long straights. Plenty of speed cameras aswell though :(

I have done the Rosslair/Fishguard run a number of times as I have done lots of work in Wexford.

Watch out for the on/off ramps on the ferry. I have grounded a couple of times as the sump is low, and the car is long - A flying jump should clear it :D

Good luck, I know what that feeling is like, guess you'll be driving yours before I will mine.

Take it easy and get back in one piece.

Regards

David

Made it back at 0530 - not the easiest of drives. Another five minutes and I think that I wouldn't have made it. Learn't quite a lot about the 260's handling in blizzard conditions - needed a change of underpants on a couple of occasions!!

Pretty please Tim, can I become a full member now.

Good to hear you made it, other than underpants, back safely. :)

I have adjusted your account but you need to sent the completed questionnaire back please Tony. ;)

Clearly it's in one of those new fangled Monoperm camouflage colours
Did you know it will completely disappear in the fog.

Thanks, David. I think that I will probably keep it. (Original reg. was WU54 JUT). I'm thinking Wicksy as her/his nickname!

As for washing, let me know when you are able to pop round and I'll unfreeze the tap. :D

Any luck with your springs?

I was offered those tailpipes on mine but since they are a porsche design thought I'd try to stay more OEM looking.

Pretty much any exhaust fabricator will build you a set like that, so these are probably custom jobs.

Pleased to see that you have now got a 260 after looking at mine a few months ago still half missing and in pieces!
I think that you said it was the first that you had seen up close, obviously didn't frighten you!

Hello Mr LPG, No I thought yours was great - I've always loved the V8s. I'm looking forward to seeing 545 in its restored state. What's left to do?
Best wishes, Tony.

Best wishes, Tony.

Only odds and ends like the proper grille mesh now. It's been on the road since early December. I must get some photos when the weather is better, under a great white heap of cold stuff at the moment.
