up to £500 already or there is some Shil bidding going on

"NOISEY DIFFS ARE A BIG PROBLEM ON THESE CARS"

So how come we don't know about such problems here then?

Why would bidder 2 outbid himself from £200 to £500 over a 25 minute period?

Very odd...

yup, i reckon its too dear as they are one of the strongest parts of the car and have never had one go wrong in 35+ 260's i have sold

plus its quite marked, scuffed and looks like it has rust on it and its supposed to be new

i think i would leave it

I've been watching this as well, there was another diff on for ages at £300+, had a look but don't see it now.

As a matter of interest I had a look at TVR diffs and they're listed at around £500.

I know there is a specialist in Blackpool who reconditiones them but are near enough brand new after rebuild funnily (enough does TVR too! ;) ). I can't remember for sure who i was talking to about it, i think it was Nick @ Austin Garages but the company did a bang up job and certainly cheaper then the £500 they want off ebay!

I'm sure the backplate on my diff looks nothing like the picture

Do you think he's trying to create a "market price" by producing false sales?

I see there is a reserve price, wonder what it is? (Answers on a postcard!!)

I reckon he probably put it up on a free listing day and then tried to bid the price up himself.

As see-through as a see-through thing that's really quite see-through. Good grief...

That's worth knowing - any suggestions on where?

err... that was a ball park figure from rough memory! haha :D

The Diff Guy. no... err... yes somthing like that. Boss has his TV diff completley rebuilt by them, so can probably find the web address if needs be. Down south somewhere. I had a quote when my diff was leaking and i remember them being remarkable helpful and gave loads of advice freely. advice like, you probably dont need the diff rebuilt, just monitor oil levels and top up where needs be and it will be fine! haha.

I cant remember the exact number but I remember being taken aback by the quote i received considering it would be taken apart, seals and all bearings replaced and put back in the car for less than i paid just to get the seal done.
