I'm wanting somewhat reluctantly to sell my Rover 75 V8. Specification as follows:
Registered August 2004 Contemporary SE with just about all the extras. Bought by me August 2005 from Startins Worcester and informed that it was a ex-works car, but no proof of that. Done currently under 22000 miles.
It includes electric sunroof, leather seats, both front heated and electrically adjustable, multi-function adjustable steering wheel, on board computer, automatic dimming morror, electrically adjustable wing mirrors which fold, xenon headlights, rear parking sensors, satnav, TV, individual climate control at front, 6 CD changer, rear window blind, radio, tape player, alloy wheels electric windows, cup holder, cigarette lighter, fog lights, folding rear seat. Have I missed anything? Please ask. It is a saloon, automatic, petrol. Regularly serviced by Luffields in Loughborough.
No original owners manual/service book, but sellers gave me an MG version in German (is this acollectors item in its own right?). Luffield eventually found me one, but the servicing hasn't been properly recorded although I do have the service bills.
Minor damage - touched a brick wall with the rear bumper and has paint scuffs along the centre of the most prominent part of the bumper - an easy touch-up paint job for those who can. Front grille hit by some jerk possibly with tow bar when parked overnight. Has been repaired as best as possible but someone with the right skills may be able to improve on this. You can see it is not evident in the pix, but is close up.
Difficult to price but looking at what dealers have been asking on e-bay for examples with more miles I'd have thought £7995 was the right asking price.
Hope there is someone to give it a good home. Malcolm. Mobile 07730 131901 if this is easier for contact; phone or text.

Cream or Black Leather?

When John Mathews sold his I really really wanted it but couldn't afford it then, If only he had waited a bit longer.

Otoh if you had offered this six weeks ago I might not be driving the car I am now ;)

Good luck with it anyway

Pity me indeed. Thanks for the help. Its the way of the world to have something turn up just after shopping elsewhere - and for some dopes like me to be computer notverygood. Malcolm

Actually, just noticed the 75 V8 in the press picture is the same reg. but is in Connoisseur finish and looks a slightly different shade of red.

Just realised it says in the first post that it is is a Contemporary SE so black leather etc... Doh!

Yes definitely black leather. Interesting about the promo pic. I agree the colour looks different, and also note that the strip running towards the top of the wing is chrome on the promo pic but mine is body coloured. Wonder if MGRover swapped number plates around........... Malcolm

And the wing mirrors are chrome on the promo and body coloured on mine...Strange. Bit like spot the differences and win a prize. Malcolm

Look's just what I'll be looking for in two/three months, sooner if a house sale goes through quicker - pity you've got it up for sale now wouldn't half like it - good colour, be a nice change from my wedgewood blue 2 connie.

I'll be back if it sticks and doesn't find a new home soon.

Regards

Go on Jinbo, take out a bridging loan and buy it. You only live once (and all that) :)
