Any chance you can use these on a 260?

Nope, as I understand it the brakes are too big. :(

Definitely will not fit on the back as the discs and calipers are too big. I found this out on the side of the M25 recently

It will not fit on the front of the ZT190 either and they supply the car with this as a spare with a note in the handbook - for a front puncture remove a back wheel and fit to front then fit spacesave to rear. Imagine doing that on the hardshoulder of the M1 at night in the rain:mad:

Trick there is to undo the bolts a turn or two then move the car, a foot or so is normally enough to free it.

hmmm not sure about that, a good punch/kick to the top of the wheel, then rotate usually works for me,

Sorry John but my experience on the M25 showed that you cannot fit the space saver on the back of a 260

Hi Keith, It was the ZT190 I was referring to, I can't believe they supplied this knowing it would only fit the back wheels with the resultant sodding about if you get a front puncture.

I wouldnt fancy fitting a space saver to anything! Ive seen BMWs Jags etc... on the motorway with them on, and they dont look safe! :eek:

since they are only temp use you do see alot of people driving around on them and usually at higher speeds than they are meant for.

Trick in not having wheels stick to the hub is to cover the hub and bolts in copper slip or grease. Break the nuts and do them up the the correct torque after the car has had its wheels removed at a garage etc.

I have just bought a Grand Scenic (7 seater) and that comes with a bottle of goo and an electric pump to pump it in to the tyre as it is reinflated.

I will be looking for a proper spare asap for that
