he will probably knock 10 percent off but as Les is a god and he has just given me a heater valve plug Ive made an impulse buy and bought one at full price.

to be honest the shoes alone go for £99, this is a complete assembly- I wouldnt hang about if you want a set.

now to convince the missus it was a worthwhile purchase.

Bought a pair and will replace along with the new rear discs as and when, was pondering the thought that would it be cost effective finding a company that could possibly re-line(or supply simmilar/like for like) the old ones doing away with the high cost of OEM items, only bought the complete set up as it was cheaper than the shoes alone.

Got some, very timely too!

What price are rear discs these days?
And where;s the cheapest place to get a MAF/Air temp assembly?

Thanks, mine arrived yesterday morning. Very happy, although my wife wonders why I'm buying things that may not be needed for quite a few years (all being well!). :D

Thanks for tip off about the rear barke sets - great service from SMC - mine arrived yesterday so now only need some illusive handbrake cables to make it all work. Big Frank.

Well worth getting a set as when you come to change your cables you will probably find you can't get the old cable out.

For those of you that have bought them you will notice a tube going through the expander back plate which is rather thin!

This is what the brake cable sits in and they rust to the point the cables seize
there is not enough metal to drill the old cable out as I have just found out :(

I now need two new backplates for my Diesel.

I did notice that and though " what a piece of poo". Who on earth has designed that to be used on the underneath of a car in Britan- lunacy !!

Mine arrived last week in Netherlands.

So one more box of spare parts in the garage. Very happy with the brakes. Brand new and very pleasant dealing. Thanks Less

Ps. Why not offer V8 stuff to us first, seems like most brakes went to us anyway?
