advice please!!

Hello eveyone,this is the first time in 2yrs my 260 has let me down,so it came as a bit of a surprise when this morning it starts,runs very lumpy then cuts out.The only way to keep it running is to give it some throttle but as soon as you stop it cuts out and there is a strong smell of fuel.Is this the air flow meter? The fuel clip and pump was checked last Monday by my garage during the annual service.Can anybody point me in the right direction.This is so weird not having her running:(.

Sounds more electrical, coil pack? Un-burnt fuel would suggest a plug.

Unless your garage didn't put the filter back in properly. I had that once had to take it back. They hadn't tightened the body back up properly or the rubber seal wasn't in properly, that would also explain the smell of petrol. Is it inside you can smell it or outside?

Id suggest that the filter is coming apart and they havent installed the black rubber tank seal correctly.
