Anybody out there interested in, arguably, Britain's rarest (approx 7) 'mass' production car. My facelifted MG ZTT260, registered November 2004 but bought, after MG Rover's demise, with zero miles on the clock in April 2005 from a main dealer? It now has 25000 miles on the clock.
My driveway is filling up fast with my XK8, Rover Vitesse, MGF160, Suzuki GSX 750F and (yuck) Beemer 320 and I am thinking of letting it go to a worthy recipient.
I have no idea on price, but it would come fully seviced, valeted and MOT'd.
Thoughts anyone!
p.s. what a drive!

Is there rearly only 7 ZTT 260 Mk2s, or is it because it is a non SE?

Models so far:
About 110 Rovers of which only about 16 tourers
So, about 770 MG's and of these - 217 Mk1's
Of the 550 or so Mk 2 MG's - 114 ZTT SE's,.

Copied this thread over to the Vin number thread. Did not move it as there is a question on the 7 ZTT's but the 'Models so far' has migrated :) with an answer on the mk 1's. Also this thread is in the for sale section and open to the bots etc. I want the production info kept within the group.

I have details in my (incomplete) records:

Mk2 T-T non-SE = 40 ish
Mk2 T-T SE = 80 ish

May be a few more, there are still a couple of gaps.

Could it be an unusual colour (hence the only 7 built) ?

Sorry for the delay in replying as I have been away over Xmas and many thanks for the replies.
My ZTT is not an SE, is black but in bright sunshine shows a hint of blue/purple, it has black roof bars with removable rack bars and the boot has a very strong MG liner to protect the carpets.
It is currently MOT'd but goes into an MG specialist on Friday for a full service, a new MOT and a complete valet inside and out. When I get her back I shall take some photos of her looking at her best.
The car is based near Chippenham in Wiltshire and my Tel. number is 07785 532059.

Drove her, for the first time in 5 months, to it's MOT this morning-was I mad to think of selling?
However, it did fail so does anybody know of a reasonably priced source of brake dics/pads (possibly higher spec).

Mintex brakes are excellent.. Here is a bargain set on eBay.. Will fit the 260 too.

Sadly the 820 Vitesse Turbo has to go instead, after 9 years ownership (what an underated car).
Giving it to my brother so it will stay in the family.

Good Good :)

front discs are same as the 190 so pretty cheap OEM parts. Pads same. Rears, check the 260 shop for the discs and pads are elise fronts so again pretty cheap if you shop about. There is a thread somewhere with all the details of part numbers, have a search.

EBC have everything but the rear discs. You can get different options at various prices depending what you want. Worth a look. MAybe we should try for club discount? I buy stuff for four cars from there!
