Hi Guys, looking for a radio tuner for the hi-line sat nav unit. Part no. is RG785W11017981 or RG785W41041415. Can get new one for £195, but hoped i might come across a used one for less. Anyone help?

best option to go for is to find a BM24, it has a dual tuner so you'll get constant TMC instead of having to have it tuned to classic fm.

Hi Andy, Yes, yours are probably what i'm looking for. Will you split the units up? If so how much for the radio tuner. It's the one on the right hand(drivers side) as you look in the boot well.

.......................

I will get to the car to fit the DAB during Xmas break.:)

Remove old bits. I will look this week to see how easy it is?

To get Sony working.
Possible adaptor cable needed, Fitting a Sony DAB6650
Anybody had experience in fitting Sonys in our cars:confused:

removing the tuner, sat nav, radio head unit are all straight forward. the hard part is the loom, which unless you want to completely strip out the interior is best left in place.

Will leave loom in place I might be able to use the cables.

Just wondering about the radio ISO/BMW/Sony connectors:confused:

Next step is the value of the units I do not need.

:D

Hi Andy, any joy with changing your sat nav and stereo equipment yet? I'm still after a radio tuner-been offered a new/re-conditioned one at £195 and was hoping for something a lot less money than that. let me know.

Hi Andy, forgot about this thread! I'm still after that tuner, though it will wait. Let me know when you're ready and how much you want and we'll see what we can do.

It went through my mind again today......... removing screws and taking the radio out....

The F is back in the workshop to tart a few things up at the moment but I should put the Z back this week and get the screwdriver out;)
