Had it advertised on Auto Trader - what a waste of time. Then on Ebay - and kept getting crazy offers. Need to sell though as it's taking space up on the drive. Anyone interested - £5900 - no offers

Old Ebay link....

Thanks

From my notes, it's the only one in Saffron though...

From Memory, any posts on it seemed to be slating the colour :(
I actually think I quite like it the more I look :D, but the missus wasn't keen when I showed her.. so I guess its a 'Marmite colour' :(
As Peter said... Silly Money :( especially with the rareity of colour

Preaching to the converted in here, its crazy the drop in cash for such a solid car....

Good luck with the sale...

Nick

There's not much around on Autotrader, and the Safron one seems the best value.

Here have a look at the pictures on THIS ONE (http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/cars/MG+ZT/Ne-2-4-5-6-7-8-27-44-49-53-61-64-67-103-133-146-236,N-114-240-4294966766-4294967087/advert.action?R=200841320386122&distance=274&postcode=kt23+4jp&channel=CARS&make=MG&model=ZT&min_pr=&max_pr=&max_mileage=). What's the significance of the cow on the rear bumper do you think? Is it a Mustang cow

The cow you refer to is a Spanish bull, the car has probably been to spain.

Ahh, i always wondered about that. :)

It's like the Christian fish logo, wondered about that for ages until i spotted one with legs and the word DARWIN written in the middle of it - hehe! A real 'lightbulb moment' and a good giggle too. :D

Best of luck selling!

I don't mind the outside colour at all, but I reckon the cream leather would probably put a lot of people off?

Cream, tan or any other colour as an interior is fine if it is all coordinated, but having just the cream seats in an otherwise dark interior looks really odd to my eye.

What do others think? Does it look better in the flesh? Might it be worth advertising without a photo showing the upholstery, just saying leather in the ad, and then relying on people being hooked at the test drive stage?

as you say chris the leather is a bit much, but that wouldn't put me off as you could soon change it, like anything really if you have the money, time or even resources anything can be changed, modified or fixed

Having re-mentioned it to the missus today she said if its that one with the cream leather..thats what I didn't like.... just mentioned as it may well be what puts 'some' off...

I saw this one on the M6 a few months ago the colour is fine! It is also very rare, I understand also the that the cream leather was a limited commission also so rare inside and out.
Glad to see the owner posting as I recommend joining shame its under these circumstances.
Good luck in the sale!

My advice to any eBay seller is to use the full 12 pics you get for FREE with the listing.
The more pics the better chance of selling IMO.

If you don't show both sides of car, punters think the other side is bent!!
(I kid you not!)

It's now just £5300 on eBay. I am so tempted to buy it for a 'weekend' car to run along side my 'everyday' 190. But the road tax will be £435 next year and £415 on my 190. Add the £65 VED for my Ducati. That would be over £900. in road tax alone https://www.two-sixties.co.uk/mgoc260/html/f0rum/images/icons/icon11.gif

That summarises the difficulty sellers of the V8's and 190's have in finding customers now.

If you get rid of the 190 and the Ducati and just have a 260, you'll be paying less tax than you do now :D You know it makes sense...

Wouldnt get rid of my 190. Ive had four KV6's. Just luv em. Mines a late '07' reg.. A 260 would have to be a weekend car. A 2.5 V6 is quite expensive to run. Just couldnt warrant a 4.6 V8 as an every day car, although I will own one some day!! As for selling my Ducati, Nooo. Could never be with out two wheels https://www.two-sixties.co.uk/mgoc260/html/f0rum/images/icons/icon7.gif

Lets make it sound less painful Nick:
That's less than £3 a day for 3 nice modes of transport!
Non car owners or city dwellers are paying more than this per day in transport costs ........and for far less freedom.

Freedom, Style & Comfort & your own armchair on wheels with your favourite music...............Keep all 3 and enjoy them:o

I totaly agree. What a fantastic car the 260 is.. The price on this lovely saffron example has been dropping about £500 per week. What a bargain at just £5300. If it comes down much more I will have to snap it up. A member over on the org site picked up another 04 model a couple of weeks back for just £4995. Thats just 1/7th of it cost just 4 years ago!
