Hi Groupies,

N/S/F brake caliper has decided to seize. Have no choice but to limp it into a tyre fitting/repair shop a few hundred yards away. No doubt when they examine the vehicle they will want to replace the caliper in question as a minimum. I prefer to always replace thing like that in pairs. As they are likely to use the services of companies like europarts then they might have sourcing difficulties. So, in case I have to track down parts a part number always comes in handy.

Can anyone provide the part number for:-

n/s/f caliper =
o/s/f caliper =
n/s/f disk =
o/s/f disk =

The pad part numbers I know I can get from our database.

cheers,

Kev

Just finished with Rimmers a couple of minutes ago. No Brake category in ZT260 or Rover 75 v8. Rover 75 yes.

Thanks Nich but I take it the numbers are taken from Rimmers and not MGR?

You are correct that there is no category for the 260/R75 V8 on the Rimmers website but they have the discs listed under the R75/ZT section. They are the correct size for our cars 325mm dia.

Those are MGR numbers that Nich gave you. Essentially the front discs and calipers are the same as the ZT 190 (and the BMW 330 actually), but since the calipers are mounted trailing on the V8's, you use the ZT 190 left caliper on the right of the car for the ZT 260 and the ZT 190 right caliper on the left.
Rover 75 V8 and MG ZT 260 are the same.

Strangely enough I may also have an issue with the nsf caliper. I had my car in the garage to check the brakes. So from what you say David if it needs replacing the garage should obtain a right hand side one to fit is that correct?

Sorry mate since emigrating to Holland 50 years ago, I have trouble remembering what n/s and o/s is!
Is "nsf" left ? Think so?
A right hand ZT 190 caliper will fit the left hand side of your 260, and vice versa

Maybe better to use terms like "LH" and "RH". Much easier, and importantly that is how MGR designated all the bits!

Sorry David, wrongly i am only thinking in terms of RHD cars. You are correct ,for me N/s/f is the left side of the car for a RHD car. So i would have to order a right hand caliper to fit the left side.
