Hi, my 260 has several electrical problems but they all came on at the same time.
1: Driver information screen gives normal information, speed etc but no longer shows door open, bulb out information.
2: all warning sounds have stopped, lights on, door open, the ticking noise when indicators are on
3, no green arrows when indicators are on
4, car unlocks via fob, but won't lock, same with key, will unlock all doors , but only lock drivers door
5, stereo head unit, gps.. no longer has welcome screen, screen and radio do not work, but there is power to it as you can load and unload discs in the head unit.

All these happened at once, taken it to an auto electrician today and he ain't got a clue, he's fixed all my other cars no problems

I need some help here! Any ideas?

There is no water in the boot, there in no water in the drains, sunroof doesn't leak etc

Assume you have already tried, but disconnect the battery, ensure that is really FULLY charged, and reconnect after at least 30 mins. Effects a reset of lots of electronic thingies, and often works.

I have also heard of corroded K bus connections under the seat carpet are the culprits of similar sounding woes.
This description sounds EXACTLY like your problem, right down to which bits do and do not work.

A soaked BCU is also a possibility (water leaks from scuttle panel pins/clips or wiring grommets for example).

Hi David, sorry can't view that.

Yes I have tried the battery thing several times, with a few different batteries with no change at all.

Would like to find someone that specialises in these matters as the car is basically un usable as it as can't lock the boot ( its a tourer) without disconnecting the battery

Where exactly is the leaking sunroof drain mentioned in the link located? Is this where the drainpipe attaches to the sunroof?

I think it's the joint at the bottom of the 'A' pillar where it goes through the bulkhead. The joint separates and leaks water down to the footwell. Got that, been there, done that!

As Nich says, the leak tends to be at the lower end of the tubes, front or rear.
There's a long "How to" thread with loads of photos, again from from Nick, X13#18, on how to fix them:

Give Retro Sports Cars at Brighouse a bell, Chris the owner is an absolute master sparkie and mechanic has recently stripped the old loom out of my car and reffited a complete 260 main loom.... no problems and not a million miles from you......if he cannot rectify your issues no one can.
