Hi all,

Saying hello as I'm currently looking for a 260 ZT-T following many years running a 75 Tourer CDTi.

This forum has already proved extremely helpful on the V8 eccentricities - hopefully I can secure the correct car in short order, the member's cars for sale is a priority.

We've had our 75 Tourer for over 5 years and I've really enjoyed the maintenance and improvement side, plus annual trips to Jules in Wales to sort the bigger items.

Looking forward to carrying this knowledge over to the 260 estate - one big driver is that the V8 is ULEZ exempt here in London, whereas the diesel is not!

Thanks again and hope to be back to move from 'blue to green' shortly.

Welcome, James!
Start by looking in this thread, if you have not already done so. Some nice cars there:
https://www.two-sixties.co.uk/mgoc260/html/f0rum/showthread.php?13272-Complete-List-of-260s-FOR-SALE

Some are listed for "members only" so you may not be able to access a forum thread you need to for more details. If that's the case, let me know by email to mods.twosixties@gmail.com, with Subject of "To David" and the VIN number of the car you are interested in. You could also send a PM to 'David' here of course, but your email addy could be handy for me to send you information.

Welcome to the forum James. Lots to read up on when you go green. If you add your location to your profile it can sometimes help other members to offer support.

Well, two years since signing up here I finally found my car - #718. Here it is yesterday at collection next to our existing CDTi 75, yes in the same shade of HFF.

More to follow in due course, but thanks agian to everyone on here for helping with various bits of knowledge, and especially to David for maintainign the 'Cars For Sale' section, without which I would have missed this one.

Anyone know how may BRG 260 tourers were made?

As Nich says
... and a single Rover 75 V8 Tourer #525.
All RHD and photo's of all but one, #016, in 'Photographs of Cars - Ordered by VIN (https://www.two-sixties.co.uk/mgoc260/html/f0rum/showthread.php?12340-Photographs-of-Cars-Ordered-by-VIN)'.

Welcome and congrats on your purchase :)
Your photo is a clear demonstration that rear lights are not the same on ZTs and 75s : clear ones on the ZT, smoked ones on the 75. Something many "enthusiasts" seem to forget when they offer spares for sale...

Welcome. That is a great picture.
It shows how the guys at MG Rover did a really good job, with subtle touches, giving two very similar cars a completely different character.
