Knocking when turning left

The car has just developed a repeated knocking noise when turning left. I presume it is a CV joint?

Any help appreciated.

King pin? Broken spring,

Could even be a loose plastic panel in the wheel arch, they are only held in place with plastic fixings.

We don't have CV joints on the front of our cars as we are RWD.

I suspect if you jack it up and pull the wheels off you will soon see the problem.

I had something similar turned out to be the bush at the centre of the wishbone, turning one way it was tight but opened up when turning the other way and caused a knocking sound.
