A 'tentative' for sale thread! After covering little more than 300 miles in the car over the past 4 months I'm going to offer my Rover 75 V8 (#703) for sale, hopefully to an enthusiast who will make more use of it!

I've owned it since 2013 and it's been looked after by Nick at Austins. Most of the details can be seen in the webpage on the car in respect of it being the owners club car of the month for September, see the webpage here (http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/index.php?thepage=car_of_month_sept_15).

In short though:
2004/54 R75 4.6 V8 Auto Connoisseur SE
MOT until November 2016
Service history at: 8000 miles / 13500 miles / 19500 miles / 28500 miles / 30500 miles / 32500 miles / 34500 miles / 39000 miles.
Current mileage 41k.
Professionally undersealed with clean subframe (see image below).
Car as standard except with the BM54 dual radio tuner.

As good as the car sounds, and looks from the photos - it should be noted that the car is now 12 years old and as such cannot be described as 'new', it does have some small marks on the bodywork etc, though these don't really detract from the overall condition of the car. If you do want an 'as new' one then go buy the delivery mileage 2008 car from SMG that's almost the same as mine, but is priced at £29,995 (http://www.hursleyhillgarage.co.uk/used/rover/75/v8-connoissuer-se/bristol/avon/14579752)!

With very few of these cars available, particularly at this mileage, and me not in a position of having to 'give it away', I'd be looking at £7995 for the car. Car located at DE14, two minutes from a mainline train station. I could possibly accommodate a weekday viewing if given reasonable notice.

A couple of photos, over those on the other webpage are:

I found the site searching for 260's for sale. Have just bought a ZT for myself and paid for it today. I was going to buy a 75 V8 for my wife tomorrow but the guy has sold it from under me today, We are gutted. Thats why I was contacting the Slickster at this time of day to see if I can arrange a viewing.

Hi sorry for delayed response. Just to say Slickster and I have agreed a price for his lovely 75 V8. Very happy following our previous disappointment with the car advertised on Car and Classic being bought from under us. Anyhow moving on we will take delivry of the 75 V8 which is for my wife and of my MG ZT February. I look forward to our ownership and will post some pictures as soon as I can.
The ZT was purchased from Tony at Studio Cars of Preston, http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C696551 (http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C696551)it was his own car. Again very happy with the deal and a thorughly good guy todeal with.
Thanks to AndyG for his help early doors in my attempts to contact Slickster.
This is sounding like an Oscars speach so I will leave it there for no. Cheers

What Simon didn't mention is that he's a proper MG enthusiast too, with a low mileage ZS, a (proper) mini, and did you say a TF too? Much prefer for the V8 to stay in this kind of ownership than someone who would just use and abuse it!

I bought mine from Tony. He is, as you say, a good and fair man to deal with. His Jaguars and Daimlers are all worth a look too.
