Hi folks,

im the current owner of 349, it's my daily driver, I'm addicted to it.

recently it's developed a vibration at high speed when cornering (legal limit or thereabouts on a motorway).

Has as this happened to anyone else? If so have you tracked it down? And what might be the cause?

cheers

E-B

I have had a similar issue a long time ago with my Alfa 164Q4. It was a front rim that was damaged! The rim had a "flatspot" on the inside and was only noticable when taking a right corner.

Not a common problem, can only think bearing, loose wheel nuts, steering joints/washers, as per Peters comments.

Is it steering both directions?

Generally it's when the road bends to the right. I'm hoping to get the car up on a ramp over Christmas and have a good rummage around the front suspension.

...and ball joints, wheel bolts etc.

I had similar, took ages to track down but turned out to be play on the bush at the middle of the suspension arm. If you can look under the car while someone turns the steering wheel back and forth you can see if there's any play on any of the bushes.

Thanks all for the replies, I can't wait to get it on a ramp.

Turns out it was the tyre. The sidewall had more eggs in it than a chicken coop. Grrrr.
