It is some six or so years since I sold my lovely Rover V8 and have decided that I would like a replacement. If anyone has a low mileage treasured example that they wish to sell I would be pleased to hear from them. Willing to pay "top dollar" for the right car.

There's this one for sale... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RARE-2005-05-ROVER-75-CONNOISSEUR-SE-AUTO-4-6-V8-MUSTANG-49K-180-MADE-/271644106788?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item3f3f402024

And actually is rare too, this bloke calls pretty much anything rare :pino but looks nice too :) Not sure on your budget etc.. but not many for sale by the look of it (i keep my eyes peeled as still dreaming of getting another sooner rather then later lol!)

Thanks Stuart, had spotted this one but mileage a bit higher than I want. However, not far from me so may give it a look.

His web site shows it now sold - would have been interesting to me as the mileage is very low

Yes, it certainly is! See the mileage is just 20 (twenty)!! A museum car perhaps?

It would be interesting to get it back but don't know it's whereabouts now. It is a very attractive metallic Firefrost red with Sandstone beige trim. Sold Feb 2008, with registration GN55 LZR to a gentleman living in Newdigate, Dorking. The serial no is 685. I suppose the obvious move would be to contact the person who purchased it.

Has to be worth the effort. It looks stunning in your Avatar :)

Your old car is taxed and MoT'd so is still on the road ;)

The Beech Hill Garage site mentions that they have another one due in on Dec 17, worth investigating.

Like minds, I also checked with the DVLA which has prompted me to write to the gentleman I sold it to. He could be a member of the Two-Sixties of course.

Thanks to one and all for the interest in my quest.

I met the guy you sold it to soon after he purchased it. He was picking his son up from school at the time and I mentioned the Two-Sixties to him then and thought that he might join up but unless he is one of our 'silent' members I don't think he ever did. I have seen it a couple of times since but not recently.

The one Beech Hill have just sold is No 650. The one they've got coming in is No 605 and they've been told is was one of the Rover V8 press cars.

VIN #605 was featured in a MGR photoshoot for a poster with Matthew Pinsent. Photos in the Gallery.

The gold one with 20 miles has been owned by SMG (ex MG Rover dealer) since new. They did have loads of MGs & Rovers new, they all had to be registered in 2008 and think this is possibly the last car they have. Bit pricey, but if you want the best, then that has to be it?

Well, I did eventually hear from the person I sold my Rover to. He still has it and intends to keep it so I am still looking for a nice car. I would now consider an MG 260 MKII as an alternative. So if anyone is contemplating selling their pride and joy please let me know. I would like to find a low mileage example which has not been molested, apart from the two-sixties recommended mods.

Probably have missed out one or two nice ZT260's but have to say it is the Rover V8 I'm really looking for still. So, if someone has a nice example which they are thinking of selling, I will be pleased to hear from them.
