Just been looking through and during the time when MG were trying everything to gain publicity to the public, Did the MG's perform well during the touring car racers?

Intrested in a bit of history and if someone shine a light to this :)

ZS http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BTC-T_MG_ZS_EX259

MG6 has competed well in BTCC this and the past 2 seasons. Plato runner up in Drivers championship and MG took the manufacturers title this Season http://www.btcc.net/standings/drivers/

Dreadnought raced their ZT520 many times and is a real crowd pleaser

there may be 2 v8 ZTs racing down under

Dreadnought also raced a TF in the MGCC Trophy Championship and currently race a ZR in the same series

MG also raced at LeMans in the early 2000's :)

much can be found on internet

Wheres your nearest circuit and do you Marshall at all? It's a great way to get involved with Motorsport and there is always a shortage of marshals

I'm only arcross the way really, never considerd to be marshall to be honest.

but do like record racers on the circuit as they do have class MG racers and touring cars. ;)

I thought you might be close to Anglesey.

I used to Marshall at some events (Lands End Trial, Rally of Cornwall (back when lots of MG 6R4's were competing) and Brean Stages Rally) but now I Photograph it with media accreditation (BTCC, Classic Le Mans, Oldtimer Grand Prix, MG Live and other events were Prewar MG's compete)

You can't beat Group B ;) the 6R4's are just brilliant 3.0 V6 Engine that chucks 600 bhp.

Wow that's auesome stuff :)

Just found this on the web, just wondering if its anyone from here? Dispite the ZR trying his best t overtake the driver of the V8 ZT jusy kept shutting the door on him lol.

But the ZR is lighter ;) But the V8 is better. ;)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVJfNWecFWE

without looking at the clip (blocked at work), if its proper race cars, then I bet that's Paul Luti in the Dreadnought ZT520. An awesome car :)

Those Metro's were amazing. I was lucky to be driven around some of the Brean Stages Rally stages in one on a charity day many years ago. We took evasive action duringa flat out straight when an amimal decieded to cross the track - the amimal was untouched and the 6R4 handling was incredible!

Just looked at the comments of the race and it is indeed Paul's dreadnought. :) Its like a bloody animal.

Sounds like fun, they are very nimble. :)

for several years we were very lucky and Dreadnought brought the mighty ZT520 down to Castle Combe for the Stroke Association Charity Day, enabling paying passengers (with all moey going to teh Stroke Association) to be driven around Combe for 4-5 laps (and mostly sideways, but always under total control) - brings back great memories :)

That's really nice that fair play to him. :)

Plus looking at it its just brilliant money well spent. :)
