They have this nasty little institution called TüV which doesn't help matter :)
Any modification either has to have an ABE (Algemeine Betriebs Erlaubnis) or has to be tested and put on the cars documents

which seems impossible with the X-powers as +6 dB above the limit and no type number visible. :(

Take the car to TüV with the original boxes and switch when you come home!:-)
That's how I did with my bike to get it thru the Swedish MOT as it was way to
loud with the race-can.:-D

theres an MG XPower brochure on ebay at the moment

I don't get it. Do you mean the chrome pipes? or the Y?

Think he means the sleeves. As far as I can remember the were 2"OD.
